well, I made it through visitation. Only to come home to 2 horses and a mule out. LOL they had gotten out just minutes after we left. Uggggg... Luckily the kids noticed quickly and didnt let them run off.

Visitation was good, it was hard, but not as hard as tomorrow will be. I do okay at the visitation. its the funeral that gets me. And i swear, I have never seen so many people in our small church. I honestly dont know where everyone is gonna sit tomorrow.

The whole community is just in shock. and whats sad is, At least 4 people left because smoke was seen in the vicinity of their homes. and others said they had to get back home quickly because the fires there had restarted. Everyone is on edge. AND I heard that a UPS guy saw someone throwing out a lit white jug. I dont know if thats true or not. But I do know that if so, that person better hope the cops find him first. Folks around here are tired. We are just plumb tired.

Q4: Been thinking of you. I made it through a visitation last week but the Mass killed me. I felt a bit of a fool because the young woman wasn't someone I knew well, nor am I close to her mom, but I watched her younger brothers grow up and I could picture myself in her mom's place. And wondering if the beautiful young woman might have made other choices if she could have seen the crowd at the visitation and in the church. And the sermon was killer as was the music. The music was type that brings tears to your eyes regardless of the reason. That beautiful.

How is the guy who was in the truck doing? He's been in my prayers too.

dark, thank you- I saw Justin tonight- he was there- He is torn up. you could tell he has cried and cried. But he was holding up pretty good I think- his whole family was there, - I mean we all go to the same church, grew up in the same schools, so of course they would be there. and NOT a soul has said a word that I have heard that is derogitory.

Like I have said, it was 2 first responders who were trying their hardest to save their own community and they got in each others paths.

and the music ALWAYS gets me- of course, Southern Baptists will rock some gospel. LOL

LOL - yes they can! My sister was in a Gospel choir a while back. Their director was a young African-American Southern Baptist leading a group of mostly middle aged (and some 20 somethings) white Catholic people. He claimed (and we beleive him) he was called to help them. They needed help. lol There is a reason Gregorian chants have been around for so long. ;-)

Is Lox going to have to hang out on a mountain top, to pass along pearls of wisdom? :)

I do that now :)

I was tempted to compare a mountain top to an ivory tower, but then I realized that I haven't had any sleep yet so any ideas at this point are probably not good ones...

:)

I gettin' smarter!
