Pchela, you just dont know how much it helps. SEriously. my FAVORITE pair of pants were some I was given after my house burned in 05. they are about to fall apart, and I tear up everytime I wear them. They had a hole in the thigh when I got them (just a small hole, they were faded levi's already) and the hole has gotten lots bigger. LOL
But yes, EVERYTHING helps. I still use the dishes I was given, the kitchen stuff, the actual BRUSH for my hair- the heat iron I have, I can walk through my house and tell you what was donated to us, and what is still in good enough shape that there has been no reason to toss it or replace it. Some of the stuff was new, Some of it was used, some of it lasted us a month or two, some of it has lasted years.
Now would be a good time to learn to coupon, stores like walgreens, CVS, and a bunch of others, if you coupon and do the sales too, you get the items for free or almost, and its toiletires and such, so its always needed.
But dont feel like you are not doing enough because you are not donating money. yes, money helped us, but having something tangible IN MY HANDS helped alot more.
