my min pin sure thinks she could take care of them~!

Hadn't thought about the SPCA, I might have to look into that! If that doesn't work we have 3 Chinese joints in town

Lynlee - get a dog ;) a really BIG dog :p
Seriously though have you tried calling the SPCA? (or a Chinese restaurant perhaps)

Lynlee - google "rescue" not shelters. Many rescues are run by people out of their homes through a series of foster 'parents". A friend of mine here is part of a pregnant dog rescue. She fosters pregnant dogs until they whelp and they works with area vets to get the puppies adopted out and the mom spayed.

Who gonna die after their first fitness bootcamp class?
Who has the evil overweight football coach instructor?
Who signed up for the nice and funny gay man instructor?

That'd be me.

((This is an hour of sit ups, jumping jacks, push ups, lunges, squats, side lunges. All yelled at you by Coach McGuick.))

DH is on his second round of P90X. Let me set the scene for you. He's almost 45 (tomorrow) and has done nothing more strenuous than yard work or wood working for the past 15 years. He could get away with weight wise until 10 years ago when he turned 35 and his metabolism shut down. (HA! I've fought (and still am) my weight everyday since 6th grade)

When Dh 1st started I told him (and meant it) that he had to make sure I was home before he did it - so someone would be around to call 911, just in case.

It took him 6 weeks of the 12 before he could all the routines (except yoga - still falls over during that one) He dropped a pants size and had to buy new belts. He traded his beer keg for a 2 pack. He also has tendonitis BAD in one elbow from the weight lifting part.

His dedication has helped push me back on the treadmill and I'm now searching craigslist daily for a recumbent exercise bike. My back severely limits what exercises I can do right now (it's getting better bit by bit and I won't risk screwing it up)

So Enid - YOU GO! Do what you can do. Each week you'll be farther along.

I lurves the recumbent bike, mainly because I can read on it. I cannot read on the elliptical but it doesn't cause leg and shin pain like the treadmill does. I have spotty osteoporosis from RSD in my left leg and get horrible pain from all the impact stuff, like the bootcamp crap. Today did feel like more of a workout than my normal 45 mins on the elliptical, so I'll stick with it. Well, unless my left leg snaps like a chicken bone.

I totally understand the lifelong fighting the weight thing. If I stand on my tippy toes, I'm 5 ft tall. And because of the RSD and 3 bad discs, I'm constantly trying to push myself but afraid of injuring myself.

Thanks for the encouragement, I need it :)
