Livi is soooooo cute B!!

Welcome back Clay!

Happy belated b-day Berry!

My world got more interesting this week. The school and I had worked out a plan to get my son out of class and doing some special projects to build his confidence and give him and this teacher a little breathing room. Boy did that bring out her true colors! I don't know if this is how she's always been, or if she just needs to retire, but she went from "That could have been handled better" to "She needs to be fired" in the course of a week. It started with some really inappropriate things like taking a class vote over who liked the new ds better than the old ds (his behavior when NOT in her class has shown the school what an amazing kid he really is), and sending him to the office for putting his hat over his face, AND trying to isolate him from the other students when he's doing nothing wrong (verified by several school staff). I reported all of this to the principal yesterday morning, and made it clear that we need to speed up the process of moving him to a different classroom. Yesterday afternoon she saw him in the snack line and asked him if he ate lunch. He said he did and she didn't believe him so she GRABBED HIM BY HIS SHIRT AND DRUG HIM ACROSS THE SCHOOL TO THE CAFETERIA. Luckily another teacher saw this and reported it to the principal. I went in this morning and demanded that, even if they don't have another classroom for him right now, he is not to be in her room again. His third grade teacher offered to let him hang out in her class in the interim. I refuse to threaten to sue them, because that's what's wrong with our society, but she better get punished in some way. I mean, HOLY CRAP! Right?

OMG Daisy! Yes, she had better get punished! What a #$%^7*! I do not envy you right now - grade school was hell! You have to really stay on top of them if you want anything done about it. You don't have to sue but you can go over their heads if they don't take the appropriate actions to make things right. What that teacher is doing is absolutely terrible.

My daughter was denied lunch one day in like the 3rd grade and when I reported it to the principle she told me that that would NEVER happen in her school and that my child must be confused. A week later that same lunch lady was fired for openly mocking a boy with a stutter in front of other students. Yet we never got an apology. My dad called because he was irate and the principle refused to even speak to him.

I hope things work out for you and your son.

Edit - There was another instance where my daughter was pulled up in front of the cafeteria and publicly humiliated for having pink in her hair even though it was not against dress code (I checked before I let her dye it) - she was told "We do NOT stand out at Canyon Ridge Middle School!"

Daisy - I'd been ready to smack a beotch if she laid a hand on my child! You don't have to bring up the "S" word (sue) but maybe throw around the "A" word - like in assault. Wonder how fast the school would react if the police showed up to investigate. OMGosh I'm so ticked for you! Grrrr just brings out the mama bear in me.

I just had to pop in here and say the level of "Forum Naziness" is disappointing in PIF. I must step up my efforts if the nice folks in here are being called Nazis. I apologize for my failure to maintain my part in the axis of evil and I'll do my best to remind folks what a real Forum Nazi acts like :)

I helped a family reunite with their dog tonight. I was in the store this evening and while waiting in line I was reading the "found" board. On it was a poster of a boxer pup that had been found.
Well, tonight on our local facebook "happenings" page, a lady posted that her granddaughter's dog was missing and described the dog I had read about earlier. I sent her a message about the "found" poster I had read.

SHE FOUND THE LITTLE GIRLS PUP!

Huh? :?:
Wait - did someone somewhere else on the forum say I'm mean? Because that would totally make my day :thumb:
