Congrats oldsoldier .. and to think, we all knew you when .... don't forget us now that you are important!!!

I don't think that was a very nice thing to say about him. I mean I'm sure you were joking and all, but still...

Oh wait, never mind. I see the "R" now...

I know exactly what you mean there. I think one of the reasons Rhianna is so tough is that during the six or eight months I was doing all the care-giving I would occasionally fall asleep on the couch with her--and wake up to find out she'd rolled off

She would only go to sleep while someone was holding her, and she would wake up screaming before she was compleatly out of your arms if you tried to put her down. But she could roll over my arm, off the couch and hit the floor without waking up

Rhianna is a fantastic sleeper. We didn't want her to wake up at every little noise and thus never really get any rest, so we never changed our volume or what we were doing while she slept as a baby. It worked wonderfully as we can pick up the bed and move it to another room while Jethro Tull blasts at full volume and she won't bat an eye. You can drag her across the floor by the leg and it won't phase her. You can drop a canning pot full of glass bottles on a hardwood floor and she won't notice at all.

And you can say, in a conversational tone, "Rhianna, it's time to get up," and she will open her eyes and sit up immediately.

Makes getting her ready for school so much easier than getting her mama ready for work

My older nephew is impossible to get up.. you literally have to pick him up and make him stand and even then he will fall on the floor asleep. The little one, is like Rhianna, he is so easy to wake up but once he is out that's the end of it. Like yesterday, he had the dogs jumping up and down one him and he didn't even notice.

That is so wonderful.

I usually have to make sure the wife is literally out of the bed before I can assume she is actually getting up--but then I have gone back upstairs to find her folded in half over a corner of the bed with her pants to her knees where she literally fell back asleep while getting dressed...
