I got my house and tree all cleaned and decorated today.Shoppings done,house is done,Im almost ready I just have to wrap everything and get the food.I have never been ready before Christmas eve before.I guess this surgery is keeping on track and Ill be all ready for Christmas before I go so I can come home,relax,and heal.

Our Realtor called and said that she hadn't heard back from the seller's agent. We asked for the chimney to be swept, a bedroom door to be repaired and the septic tank to be serviced, since it's been a few years on their disclosure form. We also offered 96% of the asking price. Our Realtor thinks that the other Realtor only works M-F, since she hasn't gotten a confirmation that they even received our offer. We sent the offer on Saturday morning.
Hopefully we will get a call tomorrow and find out if they want take our offer or counter.
On another topic, I'm trying out a crock pot breakfast recipe for cranberry, apple, walnut steel-cut oatmeal. Here's the recipe, if anyone else wants to wake up to breakfast already made

Enid - I pinned that recipe! I've made an overnight uncooked version - one you put together and put in the fridge then heat the next day - but never a slow cooker version! Sounds so yummy!
we are in day two of RAIN- Yesterday we got over 2 inches, and it has literly not even slowed down since i woke at 5- its POURING-

Update on house: Our Realtor contacted us to let us know that she received confirmation that the seller's agent got our offer. The house and additional three acres are owned by 6 people. This we did not know.
This may take a little longer but, at least, no one is emotionally invested in the house, right?
The overnight slow cooker oatmeal was awesome. It has caramelized edges, with a risotto like creaminess in the center. Heather said it needed more brown sugar but I thought it was perfect.

morning- I cant decide if I am cold or hot, its going to be one of those days.
Morning PIF hope everyone is doing well, have been so busy doing a fund raiser for the two ladies I adopted for Christmas it's been crazy! Making hard tack candy and selling it. It's great seeing the people in our town working together to help each other out!
Tree is up,shopping is done,house is clean.I have to wrap a few more gifts that are coming in the mail and have bloodwork done tomorrow.Im so going to pull this surgery off and have a nice unstressed holiday with my kids.I leave for Miami on the 13th and Ill be able to come home,relax and heal.Im amazed Im pulling this off because Im usually running around like a crazy person at the last minute trying to pull it together.I just want things as normal as can be for my kids.I dont want to ruin the holidays by not having things done and ready.I think Im doing great and it will all come together for us.Wish me luck.I even have my vape stuff packed for the hospital.I have 2 brand new boxes of prefilled cartos so I can just screw it on and vape,LOL!

Hell, I hope everyone has a stress free holiday I'm almost finished knitting a cowl. I think that I will crochet some gloves to add with it and mail them to my favorite aunt. You know how when you meet someone and instantly feel comfortable, that's my aunt Glenda and she's the only one in the family like that. That will honestly be the only gift that I give this Christmas.
Heather, Jeff and I don't exchange gifts. I keep my mom supplied with expensive Lancome facial cream year round, so that's my every-gift to her and just to let you know, my mom is very happy with the arrangement.
And no, we haven't heard about the house.
My heart is still heavy for Lynlee. I'm still praying for you and Carly's family.

I have just got to go and get the stocking gifts for my kids- I dont have possession of any of their presents yet- BUT, Bows is ordered and on its way, Bertha Sue's is ordered and sitting at the bow shop, and Brett and Matt are getting guns. so that should be easy.
I do still have to buy their presents from my dad- But thats just a matter of finding the color of the jacket Brett wants, and then ordering it all online. From Bass Pro Shops. LOL its so nice when you can shop for everyone from a 13 year old boy to a 7 year old girl, to a 4 year old at one store..
