Frank's ford, in the Caintuck
Checking in - we're all ok here. close but not too close. The news here is horrific and sad. I and several of my neighbors do have debris - but the nearest tornado was over 20 miles away. weird and scarey.

Pwyll - hope you guys weathered every thing your way!

Yep. Wife and daughter freaked out a bit because they were out and about, but I was at home with the best storm-warning system money can buy: two cats and a dog ;)

Got a bit of hail, but there's less debris than there was from last week's storm  Glad to hear everything's well up your way.

And you can brag here--that's what fora are for ;)

Well I will. Cause it's what mom's are suppose to do. (right?)

DS#1 received a 4 yr full in-state tuition scholarship to U of L yesterday! renewable for 8 semesters for his bachelors degree or 11 semesters if he choses to get his bachelors degree and master's degree from the Speed School of Engineering. (Computer Engineering) Its worth from 37k -50k (if he does 4 yr or 5.5 yr programs)
plus he gets 2k per year in state lottery money if he goes to a state school. The down side is, dorming and food cost about 9k per year.

If he went to UC he could commute, but they only offered 3,500 per year for 4 years.

The cost will be about the same - so the decision will be up to him. Just so thrilled he has choices and so glad someone from "outside" has recognized his effort and work. He goes to school with some exceptionally gifted kids - he scored a 33 on the act and has 4.29 gpa - and is only ranked 30th in his class of 135. He gets overlooked because many of his classmates are bigger than life and he's very (very) quiet.

The look on his face yesterday was priceless. truly priceless. Unfortunately I had a mommy fail moment and while I tried to video the moment, I failed to hit the button the second time to actually record. lol

For those of you with young kids - please note the cost of a state school approx 9k per year and another 9k for room and board. If you can talk the grandparents into making cash gifts to savings accounts instead of spending $100 on a stupid toy, show them this post! lol

UGGGGG I HATE microsoft office...

I have a publisher doc that I need to open- BUT I dont have 2010 office. I DO have my product code for 2007 student office, but cant find a download for it. I dont have a disk.

I refuse to spend hundreds on it, but I also cant tell prospective investors that we dont have it. UGGGGG I hate being in this situation... I have spent HOURS trying to find a DL that will open a pub file, and cant. I know MS has to make money, but truth be told, not everyone can afford to play their game and pay their price.

I could just scream!!

and OMG dark, that is SOOOOO wonderful!! Congrats!!! :)

OK, write this down: the 808 cartos don't have the proper airflow, you will not get any vapor and will suck your cheeks inside out trying to draw on one if you put it on there. If you have 901 cartos with the air hole in them, you're golden. Use those or a 901 atomizer or get yourself a 901 to 510 adapter (or whatever you want to use, 808, 801...whatever) and use that and the appropriate atomizer/cartomizer. And remember, it will NOT deal with low resistance. 2.0ohms might be pushing it...should be fine with 2.2 or higher. Good luck!

Doh!! My bad  Your right Chelle - I forgot I use a 901 to 808 adapter ($.99 at goodprophets) it is notched for airflow.

Well, it can depend on version of the 905 too, as I was just reading. Some folks are saying they CAN run 808 cartos on theirs with no adapter...but that one will need one.
