B.truth is it doesnt get easier,it gets harder. The stages get more difficult and more stressful. They dont sleep, they hate you and they have purple hair and you have to force them to do homework. But somehow its worth it. you look at them and see your self.you remember the people who didnt believe in you and you believe in them so hard. You want to give them every chance you didnt have. It makes sense in a way that only a mother can understand. Its all good. You know it in your heart. <3 Just do your best.

Lox, I'm hoping she waits until she's 40 to have her first, like I did. Even if I'm still alive, my mind will be so far gone I won't know I'm a grandma. OR...if I'm one of those 80 year old "sharp as a tack" kind of elderly people, I will take up heavy drinking and she will not trust me with her child. I've got it all worked out, no worries.

Keyzy, I feel you. I think all Mom's have the day I had today. I'm tired and worn down...I'll get some rest...and hopefully tomorrow she'll be a happier child and we'll all have a good one. Please? ;) At least bedtime wasn't a nightmare tonight.

It will be all worth it when you can have your revenge with the I told you so and showing your grandchildren pictures of their mom (or da) with a green bean the nose or covered with poop from "fingerpainting". Plss the stories....

And don't forget sending them home covered in sticky cotton candy residue and zooming on sugar while the kids are saying "gramma lets me do anything!"

Just hold out until she starts school B. It gets easier on the nerves once they start school. Well...you'll be able to finish whole thoughts, and drink entire cups of coffee at least. :pervy: Then you start getting awkward questions from teachers, or witness your little princess rip a man fart and just start laughing hysterically during work time in class.

On my daughters first day of school I had to go back becuase she beat up a little boy that stepped on her toe and didn't say "Excuse me". Personally I thought it was hilarious -- until she became the manners Nazi...

Yeah I spent a lot of time at the school defending her upbringing. Basically I told them that my daughter was not going to put up with any BS and that if they didn't like it I could certainly write a letter to the school board complaining how my child was being physically abused by other children and the teachers stood by idly and let it happen. That threat made the teachers decide that manners were important after all :)

well, the two day tournament is over. it was alot of work- but I am happy with the results.

I am so wore out I cant function, but I am happy-

My kids did EXCELENT!!

The 7 year old girl won 2nd in her division for the 3D archery.
the 13 year old boy was tied for first in Trap with 2 others and had a shootoff. He came in 2nd. He also came in 4th in overall score for the top 3 games (trap, a skeet game and 3D archery) and the 12 year old came in 1st in Archery in his division, and WON the TOP SHOT for the entire weekend! Against GROWN MEN!!

I am SO proud of them!!

Livi kinda does go to school. She's got "day school" twice a week, for three hours each day. It's great for her and somewhat OK for me. It's not long enough  I've got my other baby on one of those days, so it's not much of a break. I really love being a Mommy...I just need more down time. I realize it's not going to happen so I'm trying very hard to make the best of it. I honestly wouldn't trade being a Mom for anything else in the entire world....but a day off would rock! ;)

It is hard when they are smaller. Just try to remember that they won't always want to snuggle with you, so try to enjoy it while it lasts. Ds was the biggest snuggle bug ever. Now that he's 10 I can barely get a longer than 3 second hug out of him. I don't miss having children hanging from me 24/7, but it is a little sad when they don't want the contact anymore. Just one of the many catch 22's of motherhood.
