Ohh I'll have to see where he can get some down there. He doesn't have a car. Though one of his friends does.
His 1st aid kit (yes I sent my son to school with an almost fully equipped 1st aid kit) has alcohol swabs and anti-biotic cream but no anti-itch stuff. His school is in the downtown area - had no idea he'd be pulling weeds and raking old mulch and removing old shrubs. (face.palm.)
He's suppose to be deep in learning C & C++ (*snort*) and calculus and physics.

Im not too worried about the storm. We are getting things picked up in the yard and I will get some extra water and munchies,maybe pull out a puzzle or 2 in case we lose power.Hopefully its all just nothing to worry about.

Any physics gurus want to talk our son down from a ledge?
He spent part of his Friday night doing the home work due Monday. (face. palm) His 1st real weekend of college and he's stressed about physics. and no, he didn't take physics in high school. He's had 5 days of classes.
I know his program is tough, and they work hard to scare them ....zless about doing the home work and coming to class...guess they're getting their message thru to him.

Well, a successful Friday night of feeding 44 high school boys and assorted middle schoolers and a handful of (brave?) parents!
6 pans of baked pasta, 2 of Alfredo, and 2 of baked spaghetti sacrificed them selves. Diced Italian sausage and grilled chicken - gone!
brownies, rice crispy treats, mini eclairs, cookies - gone! Left some crumbs.
We did have one injury. while (shocking I know) screwing around one of the boys fell into a cactus (no, KY isn't known for cacti - they added to their landscaping) and had hundreds of tiny spines in his hand and arm. after picking out as many as we could - we did it in shifts because we're old and decrepit and can't bend over for long, focus for long and our hands cramped up holding the tweezers...we announced that his mom needed to stop on the way home and get a bikini wax kit to remove the last of the spines.
All the kids get nick names by the Sr's...guess who is Cacti now?

OMG what a day 
Left at 5 am this morning to go babysit daughters 3 children while her hubby took her to hospital for some minor out patient surgery. The procedure went well, although she did have to stay several hours longer then planned in recovery before being released after an unpleasant reaction to the pain meds they gave her After they finally returned home I took off with granddaughter for the rest of the day spent at a local amusement park where she had won two free passes for the day. To say we had a great time would be an understatement EXCPEPT for the time spent at the top of one of the rides when the ride broke down and we had to wait for it to be fixed. We will never forget this day at the amusement park 8-o
Upon returning home late this evening I now have a teenage grandson spending the next 4 nights and when he is returned home his brother will be coming to spend the following 5 nights with us. To say that this is gonna be one exhausted grandma 9 nights from now would be a major understatement
The happy news of the day is that one of these grandsons had started smoking Without going into a lot of detail and after a LOT of soul searching I allowed him to return home a few weeks ago with one of my egos, a clearomizer, and some juice. What he didnt know was that the juice was 0 mg. Just before going to bed a few minutes ago he told me that he hasnt had a cigarette since visiting us several weeks ago AND hes not using the Ego anymore either because he found out he was just fine without it. He asked me if I'd sent him home with 0 mg juice and I told him Yes. He smiled and said, ya after a few days he thought I had but that was ok cause using it once in a while for two weeks helped him get over the urge to have a cigarette and he was happy about that and now plans to stay away from smoking in the future. I cant begin to describe how good his "Thank You Grandma" made me feel Fingers crossed he sticks to his plan.
