About a month ago my brother and his wife finally came to me and asked about using an e-cigarette to get off the analogs. This Christmas she is getting a manual 510 (black with a purple LED and pink PCC) and he is getting an Innoken Lea-tank. It's going to be great to not be left sitting on the couch watching my nephew (not that I mind, but seriously) while they run out to the garage to smoke, not to mention the possibilities of family co-op....awesome.

The love of my life has never asked me to change...not a thing. She has supported me in everything that I do, and after seeing her drop 80lbs in a year (and keep it off) I knew it just wrong of me to damage the good health she worked so hard to achieve. I switched over to ecigs as I never wanted to quit in the first place. I love vaping more than I did smoking because the toys are better, you can make them yourself and there is JUST SO MUCH juice!!!!!

'Phid's are so awesome looking! I can't wait to vape from that guy once it arrives. TIA!

What an awesome contest, and a beautiful prize as well!

I think the funniest part of vaping around my house is that my daughter always wants to try and guess the flavor I'm vaping. I change flavors nearly constantly, and she's always guessing strawberry or chocolate, which puts her right about 25% of the time :D She never fails to think she's right though, whatever the flavor may be! I'll tell her it's Almond joye, or caramel apple.....she'll reply with "WELL Mom, it smells like strawberry!" At four she knows it all, and the little hands on her hips attest to that!!

I've been struggling to quit smokes for about 4 years, now. I'd been smoking for almost 20 years at that time and never tried to quit. Then my father was diagnosed with terminal cancer.(not smoking related) He had never put pressure on me to quit. I was lucky to be able to spend alot of time with him over the last few months of his life, and we got to know each other. My dad and I were never very close. We got around to the smoking conversation, and he never really asked me to quit. He asked me if I thought I could. He was really good at that.
I struggled to quit over the next 4 years, even tried Chantix. That was an "interesting" experience. I tried my wifes very slightly used mall bought glosmoke (smoking everywhere product). But never really gave up the smokes. Then I ran into a coworker who was vaping. We talked about ecigs alot over the next few days. Then he told me about this forum. He has an older Buzz mod I think, one of the copper, non clear-coated ones. He brought me in a new drip tip and let me try it. Fantastic. I spent the next week scouring the forums.
I've been completely smoke free for 2 weeks now, with no desire to go back to smokes. I found what works for me, and the support base here on ECF that will keep me going. I know my dad would be happy. I know I am.

Thank you Cory, Liberty-Flights, Mom and Pop vapor shop, and everyone here at ECF.

so, there was this one time when I first started vaping, I accidently flicked me penstyle 510 out into the yard and had to spend twenty minutes looking for it

then there was a time when pringles13 and I were walking through Walmart and she exhaled a huge cloud of vapor and we kept on walking. Well, we turned onto an aisle were no one else was at and then we heard a guy yelling, "HEY STOP!" so we turned around and there stood this HUGE guy. He was about 6'4" and about 250. He wanted to know what that stuff was that she blew out was. So we explained and he, like most people in our area, asked where's the 'illegal' stuff goes and if we wanted to buy some for it. Told him no thanks and he asked if he could borrow it for a second to smoke one in Walmart. We turned and ran.. well, walked fast.

You know your a true vaper when you have the mark to prove it lol

A while ago i was browsing ecf and got really into a thread . I stopped reading for a second to pic up my 5v box mod and was like where did it go . I went to get up and screamed so loud . Turns out i was sitting on my boxmod for a good few minutes with the button pressed . I dont know how i did not notice . I was sitting on the body so i did not feel any burning but as soon as i went to get up my bare .... touched the scorching carto and left a burn mark that will never go away . It was so messed up it was funny but also super painful . I had a red swirly acrylic drip tip which completely melted and actually soaked into the carto like a juice . Anyone wanna vape cherry swirl drip tip juice ? With that said i now have the mark of a true vaper !

Whats worse it everyone i told the story to started dying laughing at me .

Oh i also forgot to mention i am now a walking advertisement for liberty flights since their name was etched on the carto and now etched on my .... . lol . Instead of walking around with their cards i just moon people .

I've been vaping for about 2 years. My first ecig was a vaporking 510 and it felt more like a gimmick than an actual tool to quit smoking. This year I bought an Ego for myself for my birthday and it was a total game changer. Its helped me stay off the cigs for about 4 months now. Ecigs and their nicotine delivery systems are constantly evolving, and I think thats what I like best about vaping. I love trying out all the new products that hit the market.

I received a pv from my son last year for Xmas. I had tried everything except chantix to quit smoking since 1997. I had my last cigarette on Jan 1, 2011. I had gone on supplemental oxygen 24/7 in Oct of 2010 mainly due to asthma, but know the smoking did not help. When I went to my regular pcp in Sept before the session was over I told her I had quit smoking and was vaping. She said that she was going to ask as my lungs sounded better. Due to 02 and vaping my health is better than a year ago.

Thanks to my son, ECF and people here like you Brutus that have been here for information and support on this road to hopfeully a little longer lifespan for me.

First off Brutus I want to THANK YOU. This is a very generous thing that you are doing. I truely believe in Karma and hpe that this so comes back to you ten-fold.
My story like a dumbie I didnot start smoking till I was 28 years old.just to be social...Yea right over the next 20 years I became a two pack a day smoker would couldnt quit. For my family I did start smoking only outside. MY mom got older and had to move in,she had COPD and on Oxygen. We started keep my brand new Grandson. I started doing Bird rescue, tiny tiny lungs there. I want to quit I realy did. I did try really hard but couldnt. A friend of mine at work happen upon a Vape store here and had bought some gear and it impressed me. so I started ( and yes with one of those rip off trial thingies). Then I discovered ECF and I all the wonderful peple. I ran an ad and a very nice guy Landlord helped me out and sent me stuff and got me started. It has been a wonderful journey with some wonderful supportive people.

We were in a packed theater watching a movie (I always vape in at the movies) and had a 808 batt, I always tried to hide the light but I guess I didn't do a good job. About 5 minutes into the movie I see someone in the isle pointing in my direction. He gave me the 'point at me and then the curled finger come-to-me sign'. Well needless to say everyone is staring at me and I'm freaking out just a bit. We walk into the foyer and he asks if that is a e-cig and I confirm, then he asks if I'm using it to quit smoking and I said yes. He looks at me and said "Oh that's cool, you can 'smoke' that in the movie'. :)

We stay and read the credits, well it was almost empty and I was blowing vapor into the light and it cool to watch the light from the letters dance in the vapor.

I read a post (on a forum that has nothing to do with e-cigs) where a guy was talking about how he was able to quit smoking using a PV, and how easy it was. Before that, I suppose I saw them as some sort of gimmick... how satisfying could inhaling steam really be?
I decided to give it a shot, and gave myself a couple of months to gradually step down my cig intake: 1st couple of weeks, just give the PV a try here and there; 3rd week, replace 25% of daily cigs with the PV; 4th week, 50%; etc.. I figured two months would give me a little extra time to drag it out, in case it was really difficult. In about two weeks I was done with cigs. Soon after I quit, I got a friend started, and he quit smoking in a few days. Later I got my cousin to take up vaping, and he quit smoking. Now, I've talked another friend into trying it out. (His stuff hasn't arrived yet.)
So, obviously, I'm very happy with vaping. I quit smoking (quite easily), I feel better, and I have another hobby (very much enjoying DIY).

    Thanks for the contest!!

I have somehow become the designated e-cig tester for many people in my town. Small country town that isn't real used to new technology. People ask me about it and then hand me thier number and ask me to call them and let them know how they work for me in the long run. Its kinda funny told my mom dang so this is what the hot woman at the bar feels like.

Last Christmas, while wrapping a gizillion packages, I lost one of my Ego's somewhere in the mess. Back then I didn't keep much backup... only had 1 other working battery. I was feeling pretty careless and insecure but on Christmas morn I found the elusive PV hiding inside a new pair of fuzzy boots. Needless to say, I now have several backup units!

I quit cold turkey several years ago because of a back inj and i couldn't make it to the door to light 1 up.. Well after a surgery i didn't think about it until i went back to work. I picked back up the habit in 2 days. I hid it from my wife for almost a year when she found out! our relationship was stressed a while, I lie I'm not honest! we were trying for a baby for 5 years and when my first daughter was conceived i promised i would quit, Well i made the same promise with my next 2 kids. Then i found Vaping here i am haven't touched 1 since the day i picked up my 1st kit.

I will die (someday) but I will NOT die a smoker! 11 months ago I gave myself the gift that keeps on giving. It's like having someone hand me $5.00 each and every day. I'm so happy to not smell like an ashtray anymore, and now we all know we did. It's absolutely fantastic to not hear myself (wheeze)breathing. Even after 11 months I still marvel over how vapeing has changed my life.
