The batteries seem to make some difference as well.

My gray Ultrafires 16340s have the issue with not turning the unit on/off as intended. My Trustfire flame-jackets do not.

The Trustfires are a bit longer, just enough to keep the end-cap from completely sitting flush against the tube and allow the on/off function to work at a 1/4-1/2 turn. That may change in time as the spring ages, we'll see. But only a hairline space is visible at the connection of cap and tube and it seems to be a snug fit without play or any loosening of the cap noted.

It's all good.

Order #1836 (Black and Chrome) is working like a champ.

Thanks, Mike! ;)

Good catch Pokey, battery length makes a difference on mine as well. Ultrafires are the longest bats I have and the on/off function won't work with them. My Trustfire flames, just slightly shorter, work. A set of protected AW's, significantly shorter than the other 2 brands work the best. Seems shorter works better, on mine at least.

Well we are seeing some issues with the chrome bottom caps , the on/off switch does not always work on some units ! , the extra buildup of chrome id causing it to make contact all the time .

Do NOT worry the red led that is on all the time draws so little current that the batts would last for about 1 month just sitting there.

I wanted everybody to know about this , the Brass caps work fine. :vapor::vapor:

I'm glad I poked my nose in here (no offense, Pokey), because the always-on LED was the first thing I noticed.

Like G$, I find that the switch works, but it has a Sweet Spot; turn the cap a little further, and the LED lights up again.

Good enough for me; SN #365 (AKA Big Blue) functions perfectly otherwise. And #365 is so damned apropos, insofar as my ECF 1-year anniversary is coming up in a few days.

Has anyone tried putting Noalox (sp) on the threads? Would that hurt anything if I tried that?

Edit: I'm using the grey UltraFire Batts that I received with the Buzz.

Noalox would not help make the "switch" work as intended, it is conductive, it is actually made especially to be conductive. It would make the threads work smoothly, it should not necessarily hurt anything, but it could make a poorly functioning switch worse.

Mine is pretty consistent. Fiddle back and forth and it might go out, but even gently tap the bottom cap and it lights back up.

Something like delrin sounds good - durable, non-conductive. I suspect that a threaded body made of it, with just the outside circular cap itself metal, would do the trick.

So how you going to do the bottom caps? Trade ins? Put them up on the site for sale if we want them?

Any chance the old caps can be reworked by your shop to make them work so they dont go to waste?

I have not figured that out yet , I have to test them as well so ?? most likely it will be a trade in deal or ?? I do not think it will be cost effective to rework them , I will take a look at it down the road .

Black #111 here, and virtually no shutting off for my brass end-cap. As an aside, is anyone else experiencing only 4-6 hrs battery life? kind of confused because thats what i've been averaging thusfar on the grey ultrafires i got from notcigs

I will get 6 hours when I am CHAIN vaping on the couch but that is constant vaping for me , If I am out I get much longer times , these are new batts and they have a break in time to them they should get better after a few cycles from my experience .

Anybody else ?

12 hours, 4 ml, so far, going strong. Running about 3/4 of the way to max voltage, fresh 3.4 ohm carto.

Since I ran infinity full day, 6 ml typical, sometimes a shade more, I expect bp will still be going when i swap at day's end. I don't bother running until they die, full day is convenient.

I was thinking I was getting no contact periodically, I now suspect I inadvertently press the voltage wheel once in a while. Still getting used to the placement, even though it is similar to the infinity :)

seeing how long the batts perform with red light on all times... it's blue light (activated) is a really cool feature.

I'll have to see how to use a DMM to check batt voltage just so I can also get a feel for when to recharge if i want to do so before the batts are all the way down... so far i've only used DMM for checking atty Ohms.

The Buzz Pro does kick some serious a_s.... !

Vaping since 5 PM yesterday, no end in sight. Of course, you'd have to factor a few hours of sleeping into that.

Very seamless transition from the Buzz Classic to the Buzz Pro. The only differences are an ability to adjust the voltage at will--a factor I already sometimes forget I have--and that I no longer push on the LED, which always felt so much like the fire button.

MAke sure to get 3 hours of charge time , there may be a charger issue ?? also IF it is a WF-138 charger there is a switch on the side for 3v OR 3.7 Volts put it on 3.7 volts !!
