I am building a mod and ordered this circuit board for it,
DC-DC IN 3-30V OUT 1.3V-18V converter Module board Z

I got it off of ebay and have to wait like 10-20 days for it to get here, does anyone know where I can buy these here in the US? All the listings on ebay are located in CHina.

Built my first VV mod the VV Batt/PT with that regulator and it is still going strong.

All the next mods I used these:

I have not found any place in USA that sells them so I usually order several at that price.

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

They are the same electronics only on a smaller board without the wired plugs and much cheaper.

hum, looks like the output voltage may be a little low with an input voltage of 7.2 volts....saw this:

*Step-down: The input voltage must be at least 2.5v higher than the output voltage. Heatsink may be required if the chip is overheating
Ooh, I ordered two of those! Mine are coming from California. More expensive than yours, I imagine, but hopefully I'll get them sooner. OK, they are different; dunno what the difference is performance-wise. Looks like mine has another capacitor.

Here ya go.

I think I will try those boards, I like the slimmer style, will fit in different places the other won't. Thanks! If I were more hip to this electronic modding stuff I could just make all those on my own, but for now I will use the boards.

I ordered a couple of units that stated the 2.5 volt drop off, haven't received them yet but they are coming from Niagra Falls, for my first modding attempt, also wanting to run 2 x 18650. I figured that if the batteries come off the charger at 4.1 or 4.2 then you should be looking at 8.2-8.4 before taking the 2.5 volts off = 5.7 to 5.9 as a start point before the drain. Does that sound right?
