Alien Claptons ! but like mentioned already a nice parallel build is very good. Not had any popping from my Aliens o_O
Depends on how good they been wrapped I believe mate

If the wrap is poor the juice sits on the internal wire and once heat hits the coil pop

But yeah if it's a decent wrap no issues at all

I find anything twisted Clapton tiger etc etc give better flavour

I've tried them all.
Honestly I get better, and more consistent performance from properly wrapped and wicked standard coils.

Exotic wires are cool looking but they don't offer any thing above a standard coil in terms of performance.

Parallel coils blow exotic wire coils away when it comes to performance.

Vape an Alien Clapton next to a standard 24g kanthal and the difference in flavor is massive

I have.
Exotics offer nothing except looks and a long ramp up time.

But then again, I understand how to properly build and wick an atty.
;)

Pay attention, and you just might learn something.
Claptons and exotic wires are extremely inefficient.
Airflow, wicking and the contact area of the coils are the main players in coil performance.
That's why parallels perform so much better than Claptons or exotics.

If you need 100+ watts to make your coils perform you are doing something terribly wrong.

Massive amounts of twisted metal isn't going to make your vape perform better.

But I confess, they do look very very cool.

Here's a stupid question:
When using a .45 ohm dual coil claptons on my Griffin, if I run it at a "low" wattage, say 31.1, it takes forever to ramp up, but if I go just a little higher, it keeps on sizzlin' after I stop hitting the power button. Thoughts?
Same here hehe, good to see you again Jonner, it's been a while, put the Griffin down and go vape that Starre tank !! :p
