Claromizer trouble

Well, decided to give a shot to clearomizers, and for now i'm disappointed. While atty with a tank cartrigde works pretty well, i've got a feeling that the clearomizers don't get enough liquid and the vapour tastes funny. It's two of them, and they both have the same problem.

I really didn't care for the clearomizers I got. The tiny bit of vapor I could get out of them (2 from the same package of 5) tasted like rubber. Unfortunately, I don't have any tips because I gave up on them and got a tank shortly after.

So it seems like it's a general clearomizer problem? Well, bak to cartos nad tank then.

Remove all the silicone rings and the silicon cup that covers the ceramic piece. Take the ceramic silicon cup cover, a tiny pair of scissors, and cut the wick openings a tad bigger. Replace them all. Fill and try it again. The only way to make these vape decently is to widen the wick openings.

I fill the ceramic cup when filling a new clearo because I had one wick burn up after filling. that should cut down on the burning or plastic flavor.

I tried to fill the ceramic cup, but the liquid passed on, and left on the other side of the clearo. Taste didn't czange that much. Still - burning ceramic.

The CE2's work best with thinner liquids. You may want to try reverse filling the carto to empty it, add a little everclear, vodka or distilled water to thin it a little, shake it up and refill the carto. If there is room in the carto for the thinning juice you don't need to empty it first.

I'm running one on a Provari and had some burning taste when it got to half full at 4.0 v. I added a little ec and am now vaping at 4.4v/3.0 ohms and no burnt taste for as g as the liquid lasts w/ tons of vapor.

LOL, I don't either. The vodka or ec will kick up the throat hit a bit. Also put a drop or two of ejuice on the coil/ceramic cup and let it soak a little. Shake up the carto a bit to get the wick to exchange the thicker juice with the lighter stuff. It may take a few hits before it works. Tipping the battery up higher than the mouthpiece may also help prevent burnt taste until the thicker juice works it's way out of the wick. Good luck.

edit: I didn't have to cut the silicone cup to get it to vape at 4.4v. I found that cutting the silicone cup caused leaks. Maybe I cut too much but I now don't need to cut them.

Well, actually one of them sort of jumped into work after the distilled water thing. It's good, cos a boss got no my nerves and i definetely needed a fix. Thanks Joed!

I'm happy to hear that it worked out for you. The next step is to see just how much dw works best and then if you like vodka in it better. I am using ~ 1% 180 proof spirits so about 1 ml and 9 ml ejuice. Your mix may differ to your likes but 1% may be a good starting point.
