cheers
im in for ten

please someone post a new thread with new development

As of yet, there's not enough interest to start a new thread about next steps, as stated in the first post I'd like at least 3000 pledges, or $30k before we start talking about where to go with this thing. So far the response has been pretty dismal for the size of the vapor community.

As has been stated over and over again in this thread, suing the FDA is a waste of time and money.

There's obviously a lot of fundraising potential here, but let's spend it wisely. Even a successful lawsuit against the FDA wouldn't result in monetary damages, and would be a waste of your tax money and mine. The only people who would benefit from this action would be lawyers.

Start a PAC instead. Use the money to buy and produce a 30 second national TV spot. Buy full page magazine ads. Donate to senate campaigns. Offer subsidized starter kits for smokers who want to quit.

Fighting policy head on is a doomed proposition, and right now there isn't even a policy to fight.

The only way we're going to win acceptance is by taking charge of the narrative. The only way to do that is with smart, targeted publicity. Not frivolous lawsuits.

I am sure that big tobacco will be on board with e-cigz soon. Think about it, if the market is big enough they will jump on board. They are just holding it back now by lobbying against it until they can monopolize the industry. Im sure you will see them on the market from them in the near future accept they would probably be disposable. They are just trying to shut it down so that they can dominate it. Typical. (this is my opinion of course)

Sure, I'd be in for $10 if we can actually go somewhere with this. I don't think we can, though. Maybe money would be better spent on hiring a lobbyist to take the issue to capitol hill for us? I don't know the first thing about how that works, but thought I'd throw the idea out there in case someone else does.
