cheers
No one is collecting money, we are looking for pledges in this thread. Once there is enough interest, lawyers will be contacted. Please only post pledges in this thread. If you have questions comments start another thread. Pledgers will send funds directly to the lawyer/firm through paypal if and when we get to that stage. So far the interest and pledges have been dismal, not even a 100 posts since this thread was started. If we get enough interest another thread will be started as to which law firms and best avenue to pursue. If you are not up to date on the issues I suggest you do some research here is an article to get you started The Rest of the Story: Tobacco News Analysis and Commentary: Comparison of Carcinogen Levels Shows that Electronic Cigarettes are Much Safer Than Conventional Ones

please click on above link to find out what the FDA lied about and how they are harming people by preventing a tobacco product (ecig) that contains significantly less carcinogens than traditional tobacco smoke from coming to the market

Yeah, I just think the response is dismal because you can't necessarily sue everyone you disagree with. The companies selling the e-cigs whose businesses may have been affected possibly have a suit. The buyers of a product, though? How have we lost money or been harmed as a result of the FDA's statements on a product?

I agree the statements they made were misleading...that doesn't necessarily mean we are owed money. If those misleading statements affected the businesses of any e-cig supplier, then that's something they should pursue.

Guys, this is all good, but, wrong. I can post in this thread that I support this, and pledge $100, but I'm not held to it. I can also NOT post in this thread because this is simply a discussion that will never go anywhere.

If you are serious about this, find the lawyer first. I'm sure a fund can be set up that people donate to, with a refund option should nothing come of it.

Maybe a lawyer that had a 'high five' with the CASAA? Seriously. If there was a lawyer that you could actually call to verify he/she was a lawyer, and was on the case, that would generate a bigger following. Not so sure the phone call would eat up the donation. It probably would.

I mentioned this about 6 pages ago(as did a few other people). You cannot sue the Federal Government(Sovereign Immunity) except in a few well delineated circumstances. I also brought up the fact that we are, ostensibly, pledging money to no one(unless someone has found a legitimate attorney willing to work for a contingency-no money up front except legitimate costs). Since no one, to my knowledge, has been contacted by such an attorney, I think it's time to end this fictitious "pledging".

If you really want to pledge your money for an issue that does or will affect all of us and is legally actionable, how about a class action suit against the hospitals(St. Luke's in PA being the most recent) and other large employers that are now outright discriminating against any job applicant found positive for nicotine on a pre-employment drug screen. This is a trend that really does need to be stopped in it's tracks as soon as possible. But I digress. Back to the original thread.

I'm in.

I've read some of Kevin Trudeaus "natural cures "they" don't want you to know about", and i believe most of it, i mean, i'm watching it go on all around me.

I've been looking for somewhere to become more active and can't think of a better place than here, with such a concentrated group.

The FDA doesn't want to kill us, they want to keep us sick and sell us drugs IMHO, they are getting a bit wealthy off the whole deal.

I'd definately be in for $10 bucks
