You seem to get some enjoyment out of derailing threads, and starting inflammatory back and forths. I can see by your feedback score that you have no interest in buying anything anyway. So again you have no business in sellers threads, other than to start crap. Read the rules. Your posts wouldn't get deleted if you followed them.

And if you would read my original post I actually said that you should be able to charge what you wanted....so in a way I was defending you.....

I buy all kinds of things on the classies so your just here to start a personal bone pick because I asked you why you were charging more than a new one when you had for less than a week. And oh yea by the way I got a 18650 P+ last night off the classies. So you really don't know what your talking about

Actually when I buy or sell I end up with happy business partners who leave good feedback for me. See that # over by my avi. You know the one by yours that a 0.

People that want to make legitamate offers or inquiries into my products, do so like respectfull interested members using the PM system. You don't develop a rep and a following like I have by ripping people off, or gouging prices. Like you falsely claim I do. In a thread that you had no intention in purchasing.
BTW, I didn't realize you were a shrink as well as a truck driver. A man of many talents. Thats cool.

Not a shrink but I did go to college for neuro-psychology

I guess I missed that around the post where you said I, or excuse me, so I get it right, "sellers are stupid".

Sorry don't care about meaningless numbers. Care more about paying a fair price for a quality product.

I think sellers should be able to ask what ever price they want as long as the item is a collectors piece and not currently on the market.

But the buyer should be able to request justification for a stated price. If its a fair price then they should have no problem even if is from someone they feel is beneath them.

That is my suggestion....

That's enough! This thread is for Classified suggestions, not petty bickering.

This is a direct result of what this thread is for. I have sold thousands of dollars worth of mods at hundreds in losses. I have developed a huge following of loyal buyers because they know my listings mean a fair, quality deal. Then you have thread hijackers who troll threads for no other reason other than to disrupt and wreak havoc. It was one thing when there were actual profiteers gouging our members, but I am nott that guy. I was one of the people going after those scumbags. I will not be attacked by someone who is new to the game and has no idea who they are going after, with baseless accusations.
Thats all I'm good.

My 2:2c:, I'm ok with the new rules, and I'm ok with the 20% rule, that's room enough for time and aggravation so to speak and room enough to not take a loss if you don't want or need to. Its not a free market, its ECF's playground and they have every right to set any rules they want either unilaterally or in any degree of alignment they wish to pursue with their member base.

It has nothing to do with wether or not it will eliminate profiteering, of course it won't. But it sends a message that you are not welcome to pursue it here. will it be a cat and mouse game of adjustment and closing loopholes? Perhaps for awhile.

I listened to Joker and Old Soldier on Vapelink, if I understood correctly there was a similar backlash against the verified system. I for one was never involved in the classifieds prior to the verified system, but I'm a big fan. We are frequently talking real money here. A couple of hundred bucks isn't uncommon and I for one feel much more comfortable knowing my potential sellers and buyers have been vetted to some extent. It certainly doesn't appear to be hurting trade. Every single board/forum I have visited (almost every one) has some version of the classifieds, or a trade section. None are as large, active, liquid or current as ECF's, not even close. (Now, thats MY perception of course, and Im sure I haven't seen them all). I suspect a lot of people, like me, feel far more comfortable trading here where people are vetted and their transaction history can be relatively transparent.

I'm a free market guy in the main. I truly believe in markets water finds its level. But this market is too small and as a result too easily manipulated. I'm a member, I support, I don't "own" any piece of ECF so I find it completely consistent to say I also believe that ECF has every right to set the rules in their own playground and design them so that people who come here have the kind of experience, in the kind atmosphere they want to create for their members. If an atmosphere of vapers interacting in many ways with other vapers with an expectation that we don't abuse or take unreasonable advantage of one another sounds like a good thing to you, I'll bet you stay and play too :)

In keeping with the thoughts about Member Verification, I have to say that it seems as though the scammers who were visiting us this time last year have found other places to be. While no system is foolproof, all of the recent changes to the classifieds have had positive results, and kept the criminals who were lurking here from stealing from members. I see a big difference in the quality of the transactions and am not afraid to buy/sell/trade here because of the changes that were made.

No system can ever be foolproof, but I think that for vape classifieds the ECF has gone above and beyond to make it a nice place to be.

Apologies if this has already been suggested. Didn't backread through the whole thread (<---lazy). It's been a habit of some sellers to edit the selling price after an item is sold and replacing it with the word "sold". As someone who doesn't have yet a long tenure in the classies and have no idea of the prevailing price of some items especially the ones not anymore in production, I try to browse the sold/closed threads to get an idea how much a used item is selling or getting sold for, but some delete the price hence no reference. So I would like to suggest to place in a rule not to remove the price once an item is sold. Thanks. Cheers. :)

As much as I hate more rules, justinred has a point. I do the same thing so I don't screw myself out of money and so I don't over charge when I'm selling something. Checking out what's sold is a very useful resource if you can see what everything was sold for.

If I need to know the worth of the item that was sold, I PM the seller and asked them politely. I explain to them why I need the information and so far I have 100% success.
Great idea. But the thing is, I can't think of a reason why a seller would want to hide or remove the price once an item is sold. Seller loses nothing by leaving the price listed and it becomes a site resource of price reference for future sellers and buyers.

guess, it's been the norm. I did that to my classies because I saw people doing it. Now that you mentioned it, I promise I'll just append the word sold and not remove the price from now on.

I'm sure it has been mentioned but it would make the browsing so much easier.....serparate the the "for sale" and "for trade" items. It is so frustrating to find something you really like to then find out it is only "for trade".

Yes, I know they put the "FT" or "FS" in the title but ask yourself how many times you have been fooled :)
