Not to gripe but I think it would be beneficial to us all if we could work to make this massive forum more efficient to use and peruse and I think that starts with making our Thread Titles more detailed or specific. this will avoid multiple threads of the same subject. eg, we have at least 3 threads about Bananas fosters.

Omg! Omg! -

Just gotta say...yum -

Sorry, not trying to point anyone out, but you guys get the drift.

Thanks :)

Well, I apologize for any confusion. I was extremely excited when I started that thread two seconds after I tried it.

I see your reasoning though, I've thought this myself quite a few times. :)

Really, i think yours Kimmy was one of the first to exclaim your love for the new flavor, just a few happened to follow suit, without reading your thread. haha. :p

I agree about multiple threads on the same topic.

Could we all maybe agree that when this happens, it IS NOT rude to link to the original thread on the topic? It will help funnel all the attention to one spot, and extraneous threads can fade into the background.

It's really nice to see that people here are concerned with thread etiquette. In the long run it makes for a very reasonable, considerate forum. I'm glad you brought it up - it's good to discuss!

I won't derail this discussion, but there are a few other points of forum etiquette that could probably use some polishing as well...

This is just silly. This topic will be on page 43 in 3 hours. We will be all be P.C. for 6 seconds people.
Please don't suggest a stickie..that will generate 4 threads about how many stickies there are! We just have too many new people in this sub-forum and 100's of new people a week on ECF.
We just have to learn to deal with it, laugh and move on.:)

I agree with you MaryKay. I have used the "search" option, and had very little luck. With the changes in the batteries and cartomizers, you want the newest information anyway.

I really didn't mean to point you out. I just wanted to use a recent example. Thanks for being a good sport.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/vapor4life/85760-bananas-foster.html - was first by about 5 days. sorry again Kimmy  But again this goes to show how massive this thread is, compounded by the double posts.

This is why forums should be used for discussions, and wikis should be used for storing valuable information that is easily searchable.

I can't think of one forum out there that I've ever visited that had a search function worth a dang. It's the nature of the beast when you use one central location to discuss topics and have valuable knowledge splayed aboot.

Yeah i'm with the OP on this one, while you're at it clear these too>>

"V4L batteries and KR808 charger"

"USB charger w/out cord and Auto batteries"

"Clear Topic Headings for New Threads Please"

OH! Wait a minute....

Lol. You're right, but I did start the "USB..." thread only after first thorougly searching for the proper topic. I found the "V4L batteries..." thread after but the title was so vague even tho it dealt with a very specific issue.

I agree with you MaryKay. I have used the "search" option, and had very little luck. With the changes in the batteries and cartomizers, you want the newest information anyway.

Agreed, YMWV with the search. I haven't had good results using it.

Anyway, didn't mean to point anyone out and I'm guilty of it too. Our attempts may be feeble but I think we will all benefit if we can get any improvement to the usability of this forum. We all know that it's going to grow in userbase...and at this rate it's going to be MASSIVE. I wish we could have some veteran users here become mods. I know the V4L team is too busy to worry about this

Word...we need active mods and a read first sticky w/ link to wiki (that's actively updated) that could answer most general questions. I guess the Welcome matt serves this purpose but needs updates. I wish more ppl would read it first.
