Not sure if this is the right place to post this, if not, I'll ask it be moved to the cartomizer thread

But I thought it would be nice to have a round up of 'filler free/clearomizer' type carts with respect to their performance on 808s

Seen lots of negative reviews, and a few glowing reviews (e.g. grimm green and the fluxomizers)

Any input with respect to 808s would be great!

Let 'er rip...

I can't say enough good things personally about the CE2s (fluxomizer/microcig kind). Once you learn the tricks (cleaning, o-ring shuffle, etc) they are great performers. I have used both the native 808 thread as well as the 510 thread with an adapter and had no problems on my 808 ecig. Right now I use them primarily on an eGo battery but will occasionally slip them back on my 808 when I am being lazy and don't feel like pressing a button :)

yeah don't believe the ce2 haters. the early versions were terrible.

for a long time i ran regular size fluxos on bloog batteries. but i had fewer problems when i used a 510 adapter and 510 threaded ce2.

have since switched to sdk (avatar) and torpedo ce2 tank, but i can't say enough about the latest 808 and ce2. both are excellent developments on lackluster original offerings.

Great info so far

Are the only "up to date" ce2s the fluxomizers?

Fluxomizer is what Gotvapes calls the CE2 and yes they only carry the latest version but they called all the past versions Fluxomizers also. Anywhere else and they are CE2, the newest version being CE2 Deluxe.

I believe the deluxe has a new seal/ring design. I think they are normally referred to as Rev.5
There is a newer design coming from china in a week or two with a similar design to the CE4+'s.
On the deluxe flux, I remove the bottom cup; make sure the seal ring is ribs up on install and drip tip it.
These things rock and even though I really like the new CE4+'s, these put out more heat/vapor for me.
I only have them on the 510 atm, but I plan to get some for the wifes 808 when the new version comes out.
The new version coming out has a easy fill cap like the CE4+'s.

Edit: I can disassemble; clean/dry burn and refill one of these in a matter of minutes and are pretty much my "goto" devices.
CE4+'s = their stardust branded name

Edit 2: I also think the housings are different between the 2 you show as they were having issues with breaking the older versions

CE2 Clearomizer Deluxe Inner plug and filling In depth guide
I don't bother with the bottom cup and needle refill.
I tried to remove the cup, notch the cup around the wick area, but getting it back in is a real pain.
The center post is not true and all of mine lean to one side, so I had to use 2 dental picks, one to pry the post and the other to push the cup down. Even then the cup still pinches the holes off a little.
So now I just remove the bottom cup; fluff up the wicks going into the ceramic cup; fill w/joose; install the ring with grooves up and put on a good drip tip as the cheap one that comes with them is crap and gets hot.
You have to remove the ring to refill, but it comes out easy and you're back in business.
Hope that helps

The clear & easy tanks are based on the CE4 design and have the coil in the bottom.
I'm not sure if you can remove the center plastic cone to modify the holes.
The flux's have the coil in the top and you can remove the cup or modify the cup slots to get better wicking.
For me, with the coil up higher, gives a really warm vape. Turn the volts up to 4.0-4.2 and they rock it.
I'm not a fan of much, but these really do it for me.

Edit: Also, the taste of juice is better for me w/o having filler material.

The CE2s I have purchased from awesomevapor.com (local brick and mortar for me) are of the newer non crack design as well.

EDIT: I also wanted to add that my modification consists of removing the lower cup seal completely, placing one of the inner rings ribbed side down, take an additional inner ring rib side up (from a discarded CE2), and then slap a drip tip on top.

Good points chinsk, I too remove the bottom cup seal, but I put the rings in with the rib up.
I had one that the coil wasn't centered in the ceramic cup and when I rocked it on higher volts I noticed a slight rubber smell/taste as the rib was close to the coil. So now I just put the rib up and forget it. I also fluff the wick to fill the entire slot in the ceramic.
Just food for thought :)

I can see that being a possible concern at higher voltages. I primarily stay around 3.4-3.7ish volts.

The ability to pull these apart and clean and dry burn seems to make these last forever. I have some that will always leak. Some I have done the syringe mod on and that has worked great. Others I use for drip tasting. I leave the seal off. Just naked inside it's shell an drip a few drops on either side of the wick near the coil an a tiny one right on the coil. When I'm done, I pull off the shell, rince it all in alcohol and leave it to dry overnight. Have two that I've been doing it for 3 months that way.

The only ones I seem to give a complete thumbs down to are the bottom coil ones. Suction an airflow always seems to become an issue way too quickly.
