I'm not sure that I've seen a top coil version, but wouldn't that be similar to a stardust?

So is there any consensus on how to cure the juice darkening on stardusts? And those of you who dry burn, do you remove the silicone cap with tweezers first? I also wonder if a lower voltage helps or hurt?

It makes some difference on how hot you cook the juice but the more you dry burn and try to keep the coils in pristine condition, the better. I always remove the silicone. You need to keep an eye on what's going on and the quicker you can let those nasty toxic fumes burn away the better. I want them to float up, up and far far away.

If I haven't dry burned by the third refill, I'm in for a nasty vape. Especially with pipe tobacco type vapes.

smoktek has added the ce4 v2 in lr with echo base now. Vision 808 Echo Transparent Clearomizer V2, 2.1-2.4 Ohm

Don't these look and perform similar to the fluxos unless you get them with bottom coils?

...look to be a sort of mini CE4. I suppose they'll pop up all over the place soon. The e-cig climate has been warming up since the Chinese New Year.

those m3s look like updated versions of the elite 808 stuff. Like halfway between a slim and a fat bat. Lots of photos on the site but none with them attached to a battery. They do look rebuildable.

actually don't know, I would imagine they are. I was feeling very uninspired when the TCs came out

I'd give 'em a try and report. Not now....I'm pretty content. Bottom coils are so finicky but what is there to go wrong in a top coil? Simple and fixable small issues.

See, I'm just the opposite...I get way better flavor from the bottom coils.
I trim my wicks at a 45 degree angle and I raise the center tube slightly and life is good.
Top coils need tipping every once in a while and since I've moved mainly to bottoms, when I do use a top coil, I forget to tip.
Also the vape isn't as consistent with the top coils as some parts of the e-liquid seem to wick faster/better leaving the bottom half of the vape crappy.
Everyone's mileage is different, bottom coils are just my weapon of choice today until they come out with something better.

I've been thinking about trying a clearomizer but am a bit put off by the thought of the leaking, cracking, tipping and cleaning. some seem to need to be refilled before they are empty so it seems like it would be hard to change flavors without emptying (thereby wasting) or mixing the old with the new. Is it worth it to try them?

I do have about a hundred new flavor samples to try that i got at vapestock. Would i be better off trying an atomizer to sample different liquids?

They are definitely worth trying. IMHO, clearos are 100x better than cartos.
I find it funny that I asked the exact same questions to Cyrus months ago. He suggested fluxomizers, and to make a long story short lets say I will never use cartos again I say go for it!

Skelley: I find that mod interesting, so you got your phoenix and MiT bottoms to work consistently this way? When you trim at 45 degrees...hmm could you elaborate a bit? I still can't get any consistency from the phoenix and I've modded it every which way. Whether I get perfect, dry hits, or an outright flood seems to be completely and utterly random.

EDIT: Also wonder how hot you're running your phoenix?
