I've been on nothing but Carto's for the last month. A week ago started using the Clearo's, 2.4~2.6 ohm. They seemed alittle on the warm side. And I'm going through at least 4 fills on my days off. Even the 3.0~3.2 ohm version seems to be a juice hog in my experience. Using them on everything I've got, from eGo class batts through my ProVari. These things are the best Carto's I've used so far. JMHO

Cheers,

They're huge!! Got some on order for after the Spring Festival. So probably about 1 month away :(

Where are you seeing the video link still Seth? I can't find it anymore.

hoog

Glad to hear you have the "big ones" on order. lol

Just got my order from you with the clearomizers in today. I haven't tried them out enough to have formed an opinion... Low ohms seems to be burning my Ry4 flavoring, but that seems to be standard operating procedure for this juice, maybe it will work with the higher ohms. We'll try something else. :)

All of the E2 R4 Cartomizers and the new Clearomizer pages have the broken YouTube video. I'd PM these to you, but I guess I can't...

I know I haven't looked at the 401 or 808s, so my browser shouldn't have had a cache of it. Looks like the video should play but gives error "This video has been removed by user."

I ordered some of these the other day. Does thinner liquid help the wicking issue hoog? I gotta admit I'm a power puffer, haven't managed to burn a lr carto yet though.

Got mine, I really wanted to like these but I'm just not sure yet. Take to long of a drag and I get the burnt taste. Maybe I'll try different juice and battery combo. 18650's run @ 4.2v fully charged right 3.7 is the lower end, hmmm maybe I can steal an ego battery from wifey.

Thinner liquid is a definite must. Try to use 100% PG if possible. I was having problems (as usual for me it seems) while using 80/20 PG VG. Any of the Dekang juices should be fine, I'm not certain about any of the other juice MadVapes carries as I haven't tried them. You can try diluting with a little PGA or distilled water but YMMV doing this.

One thing to watch for is the wick turning clear. If the wick has not turned clear it probably isn't working properly. When I first got mine, although usable, the wick did not turn clear until almost 12 hours. After that I could vape almost 1ml of RY4 in a single break (yum:). If your wick is still white after a day, suck what juice you can out of the carto with your injector. Carefully pull off the outside cover. Rinse everything with warm water. Let the carto wick dry completely for 2 hours at least. Reassemble and then try a different juice.

This rating 2.8 to 3.0 ohm is probably pushing the limit of 3.7 volt vaping IMHO. You're right by trying it at lower voltage. The 2.4-2.6 ohms I got are nothing but burnt, burnt, burnt at 3.7 volt so far (I have yet to try again).

The Clear XL C2's (2.4-2.6 ohm) + The Dekang U.S.A. Mix = My Happiness :)

(Thank you MadVapes!) ;)

This is how I feel, only with RY4 as my juice of choice. I filled one of these up yesterday and am already ordering more today. These are great. I'm a little surprised seeing how fast I go through the juice.

I got some of the clearomizers Friday, walked in the door sad - walked out VERY happy. Now that I've had them for a couple days I'm loving life...uh er, vaping again! I got the 3.2's and hoog mixed a special Vanutla (30PG/70VG) and gave me some Waffle! No problems other than the very first one I used got all black and yucky on the second fill. So I just rinsed it out with the old soda bottle trick (more to see what would happen than anything else). Well, it cleaned it out! Blew a little compressed air thru it and fired it back up. No problems since and it's working great! I also vape 100% VG and they are handling that just fine too!

Cool part of these to me is that I will probably never taste that burnt poly fiber again!

Usin a mod box and 510 mega batteries works great and plenty of smoke and they seem CONSISTANT!

Ok, now I want a tank with a voice warning "Sir, you're running low on Vanutla!" (HAL)

I ordered the xl's and love them. Sometimes I will draw too quick or too long and get a burnt taste but you soon adjust to not doing that. I will be keeping these in stock. Only issue I had was one of them cracked. So having a mod tube would be nice. The atty is still good, I figure for now if one of the others goes bad I will just stick that atty into the other tube/tank. I have seen videos where they used the syringe tube to mod the CE2 but I don't have a stock of them to go cutting one up.

Overall I love these little toys. :)

Is anyone having issues with these 510 XL CLEAROMIZER 2.4-2.6 OHM? I thought I read the clear stuff cracks or is corroded by some juices? I am about to order some of these and was wondering.

Also, do any of you know if madvapes will restock the Royal Smokers CE2 R4 510 2.4-2.6 regular black cartomizers? I have a 5 pack of those and the PTB mod on them is incredible.

Thanks!

ice I haven't had a problem with corrosion or crack's and I have had my xl clears for about week and half.....only have filled with tobacco flavors and have filled about 7-8 times. How many refills on average has most people been getting out of these before they croak? As far as the ce2 good question I'm sure Hoog will chime in with an answer.

BUMP - I also would like to know what the 'soda bottle' trick is.

Another question - how does one use the PTB on a cartomizer?

Hi, I think the soda bottle trick is when you connect your atty or carto to the end of a bottle full of water and squeeze the bottle so the water flushes all the juices and such from your attys (with good force). I just use a faucet and blowing out by mouth.

The lipton pyramid tea bag mods are to use the PTB material that holds the tea, as a replacement filler material for cartos. There is a more specific way to do it using Royal Smokers CE2 R4 cartomizers, and for me that has given me the ultimate vaping experience so far.

Ice,

Thanks for the reply and please forgive me for not understanding.
I do know about the PTB mod - I have done it with regular atties - I was asking how you accomplish this with a carto.
Can anyone be more specific about this as well as - how do you connect an atty to a soda bottle???????????

Many thanks.

LOL gosh, I feel like an a** LOL..I was using my iPhone, I couldn't see you were a veteran. Regarding doing it to the Royal Smokers CE2 R4 cartomizers: YouTube - All New E2 cartomizer PTB & Inner plug Mod & other Tips (Royal Smokers)

Follow the youtube link there and let'r rip. One thing I think he doesn't mention is DO NOT pull up too hard on the wick when you are clipping it off to remove it, in the very center the wick runs through the coil and that will pull up and break if you are not careful. Another thing is I didn't bother with the center plug thing he talks about, and have nothing but good vapes. After doing it a lot, I can swap out the PTB, clean the carto, and have new PTB back in all within about 10 mins. However, the stuff usually lasts weeks so you don't need to clean or change the PTB material very often. Now doing them on a regular cartomizer, I don't know. But since the CE2s are hollow, it's a slam dunk.

And for the soda bottle thing, I've never tried, I assume that's what the members above were referring to :p But from what I think I recall, you basically fill a 2 liter up with water, and make a hole in the cap of the bottle where you can stick your atty or whatever in, and force water through the atty or carto by squeezing the bottle. You can use other things to force water through as well, some people try bulb syringes. But in my opinion, a simple rinse, a few blow outs, and some nice dry burning does the trick in just a few mins.

Yup, drill a hole in a soda bottle cap slightly smaller than the threads of the carto. Screw it into the outside of the cap, fill the bottle with water, screw on the cap, squeeze the bottle. It forces the water through the carto so watch out for water comming out the side holes on the carto. I use a 16oz bottle when I do it. I decided to quit doing it with the regular carto's because they're pretty much done when you get to this point and at less than 2.00 bucks each why bother anyway. But it's handy if you're down to the last one and have run out. This might get you by till your new ones arrive!

I can't believe how well the clearomizers handle it tho. I flush mine when I want to change flavors.

But, I'm thinking I don't want all this work! I just wanna friggin' fill and vape. I'm contemplating one of the new e-go-T's. That looks pretty easy to fill. Neat and quick....Fill, vape, fill, vape...that's where I wanna be. I'm tired of all this maintanence!
