Well. . .lucky me. I ordered/received 4 boxes of Volcanocigs Clear XL Cartomizers, 2.6~2.8 ohm, (somebody on another thread dubbed them Clearo's, and I love that). I vape 50/50 or greater % VG Cinnamon. I've been vapin and a fillin the same Clearo for more than two weeks. I DIY my own juice. Not a hint of a crack in my Clearo. It wicks well enough to keep up with my constant vaping. (It does wick better held horizontal or batt high). Only thing I've noticed. . .it seems to be a juice hog. Either that, or I'm enjoying it so much I've increased my vaping by 50%. I used to vape 2 E2 XL's a day. Now I find I'm well through the third. I haven't had any trouble filling them with the plastic syringe tip at all. In two weeks I finally bent one tip bad enough I switched to a new one. I noticed this morning that the clear tube is spinning on the connector, so I switched off my ProVari and connected up to a Riva w/cone to help trap the juice in case it starts to leak. But, so far no leaking. Maybe I'm just luckier than most. I'm just lovin um. . .best carto I've used yet. All this is JMHO

Cheers,
otrpu

Lil: the Volcano clears will fit the 510 (I think they are called Magma clears or something) Their stuff is comparable to the 306/510/Ego sizes. I've had no problems with mine fitting. Their attys tend to be a smidge bigger (for fitting with carts) but the threads are the same. The ONLY issue I heard.. their Inferno was giving someone problems trying to fit it on a compatible model. hth!

Lois: Have you tired the Mega Ego Cartos? (the ones Kel was talking about?) So far.. I've found those to be the most consistant with my jucies and PV's and needs. I've tried several cartos, and am normally a dripper.. but the Mega Ego Cartos are nice! (I still taste a bit of that 'stuffing' taste.. but with the right flavor eliq.. it's 100% preferrable to burnt taste :p )

Good afternoon Leanne!

I like Boge regular cartos the best right now when their working correctly but have had quite a few die on me the last week or so in a matter of hours. I find that they're more of a moist vape than the mega egos, which I use too. I also am using the Joye cartos. Both of them though are a PITA to fill.

All I want is something that I can Easily refill and then plug and play with a decent taste that's not too dry. When the ego tanks come to discounters I am definitely going to try them. I've heard mostly good reviews. I asked Abe at Liberty yesterday if he'll be getting them in and he believes it will be soon.

I just bought Fluxomizers XL and truly do NOT like them. I think my problem is that I use 100% VG and it is really seems too thick for the syringe. I attempted to fill one then I tried thinning with alc. but just ended up with the juice running out the bottom. I LOVE my Vapemate and these just seem like a lot of work in comparison.

Lois: :) I hear ya GF!! lol.. I wish they would stop diddling around and come up with a product that works!! (for everybody!!) I have heard great stuff about the TANK too. Deej got a set this week. I'm still waiting tho, since all reveiws seem to be shining at first light.. I want to see what people say after using them for a month, before I shell out so much for an atty I can only use with one product.

Nancy! Hi girl :) None of the clear or E2 models work with VG products. Even with Juice that is 30 percent (my level). The juice is just too thick to travel up the wick fast enough. I have heard; if you mod the cartos with a teabag, that it helps alot.. but then you are back to modding something to 'fix it'.

:)

Another good morning ((((Leanne)))) and yay! Deej is going to be testing it out! I came a nano second from ordering yesterday and couldn't click. All of the money I spent on the recent co-ops spread me thin, and I realized that before I clicked checkout at TW...with 20% off it came out to $20 before shipping..which is high at TW. So I think I'll wait to hear, and the coupon code is good to the end of the month, so we'll see. :)

Also, the ce2...I use a higher percent of vg and now it makes sense why it tastes so awful. I knew it was a wicking problem, but duh... didn't take into account my juice...although chain vaping doesn't help wicking with it either, does it? Also, the clear carto is rather gross looking with the wick and juice after first vaped..Looks like a swamp. lol!

Have a fantastic day!

and to you too!! ♥

I'm with you on the coops. Missed so many that I jumped on them all!

The VG juice will do that almost in every cart, carto, whatever. It's just too thick to wick fast enough, especially for us chain vapers. Deej did try the teabag trick on some of the E2 cartos, and Myshell thinks they work much better that way. Personally, I'm not sold. I don't like having to mod something I'm already paying more for.. seems to moot the whole point. If and when they've stopped 'changing' the product, and instead 'fix' the real issues, then I may try again. I'm just reaching the point where dripping is becoming easier. Although I love my PVS and DIYs and playing around.. I don't want to spend ALL my time fiddling with the products. It has to be convienent too.

((hugs to ya!!))

All,

I've been away from the forums for a bit and not paid real close attention to the 'newer' changes as they've come out. Now I find myself really enticed back by some of these new 'fillerless' cartos. But to say I am confused would be putting it mildly. I was hoping this 'all things tanks and clearomzer' thread would help, but while it gave me more info, I am even further messed up. :p

I wonder if someone can put all of these names everyone is throwing out, along with what compatibilities (910/808/501 etc), in perspective?

Like Fluxomizers, clearomisers, MAP, tanks, tank mods, ce2's, syringe-mod, e2-cartos, XL's, poor wicking?, silicone rings, ceramic cups, leak/no-leak), R2, R4, clear and swampy, on and on.

Maybe a chart or some such? I'm not sure what but am just plain confused.

I'd love to have something I could fill, attach to my Buzz, and go all day with near, same as, drip level vapor. Can these 'tanks' be safley laid on their sides? I also use almost all VG as PG makes me live off Imodium caplets :(

Sorry for the slight ramble, and before you say it, I am still researching and searching the forums. Just thought this might be 'the' thread to pull it all together.

Thanks all,

Max

I would say your best bet would be the map tank mod by angrypirates, or maybe its madangrypirate. It is sold at clouds of vapor. Do a youtube search for "map tank mod". The best one I found was by chris(he does a lot of great reviews). He gives a full run down of it and shows that his doesn't leak. Turns it in all directions. Even made a how to vid of how to change out the internals when they go bad.
Currently they are sold out, but you can get on a list and they will email you when they are in stock.

OK.. I'll break down as much as I can.. hopefully someone else will do the rest..

CE2 is the new fillerless carto. It went through many 'revisions'. Hence the R3 (revision 3) R4 (revision 4). The latest is ce2 R4. Which breaks down to Carto Edition 2 Revision 4. It has a ceramic cup, silicone seals, and a wick inside. It comes in two sizes: reg and XL

Now they are making them clear. Same carto, clear outside.

New names: Clearomiser, Fluxomizer, clear ce2, etc.

ALSO, new on the market is the Tank.

The Tank is completely different beast. It is a new type of atomizer to which you attach a fillerless tank full of liquid. It's like using the old 2 piece 510 unit, except the 'cart' has no filler.. it's enclosed and it clicks onto a point of the atomiser which draws out the liquid. It is not supposed to leak. This atty will ONLY work with the special tank carts.

NOW.. to make things more confusing.. There are the MAP Tank Mods.

This is essentially a combination of the above. Someone has taken the filler (the inner workings) of the CE2 cartos out of their casing and put them into a BIGGER casing.. thus it will hold more liquid.
