I tried cleaning my Stardusts/V2 Visions at first and now I dont even bother. At 4.50 a pop I just use em for a couple weeks and then toss em.

Or just get these:

I've actually had great luck so far cleaning my CE2s. When I'm done with the dry burn they really taste good as new. I can't say the same for cartomizers. Never not once had a cartomizer that I could clean. I also vape pretty heavy... I go along with the mantra you see sometimes on here "If I'm awake, I vape".

An amazing beyond excellent video I found for cleaning your cleros. The big trick I think it not dry burning too long. Count to 5 let it relax then do it again.

I think you should be able to get at least 3 dry burn cleanings out of them. I'm going to keep cleaning mine until they are un-vapeable. When it comes to switching up flavors... I have one clero for my fruity/menthol flavor and another clero for my sugar/chocolate/sweet vapes. Just makes it easier imo.

With the first se4+'es, it didn't matter because the tanks cracked & leaked before the atties needed cleaning.
With the new rebuildable ones, I don't know yet. Maybe I can answer that better in a few weeks.

With a wick instead of batting like a carto, they change flavors nicely without cleaning. Just shake the old juice out of them. It's no different than changing flavors in a dripping atty.

I just started using my clearomizer. I am using a dark colored juice, which i hear does goop things up quicker than clear ones. Mine started tasting wonky after about 6 days. I cleaned it, but didn't do a good job so although it is better, its still a little off and I will be cleaning it again tonight to see if that makes a difference.

Can't answer on the "how long will it last" part of things. Sorry!

lol, it didnt blow up or anything. I tried cleaning the stupid thing as per the various youtube videos and every time the performance after cleaning is miserable. So last night after that particular clearo refused to work correctly (no flavor and almost no vapor) I grabbed a pair of needlenose pliers and went to town on it. Opened it up, took a look at the head (which was black and gunky) and then took a pic.... just because. :)

THIS is what happens when I try to clean a V2 Vision:

    What on earth.....LOL

OP: When the taste starts to go south and the coil looks like a turd from gunk, it's time to clean. Take it apart, run all the parts under HOT water. Especially the wick and coil. Shake everything as dry as possible. Put everything back together. Then dry fire it until the sizzling AND smoking stops. The sizzling is the coil pulling the rest of the water out of the wick, and the smoke afterwards is the gunk that’s left on the coil burning off. After that, refill and enjoy a like new clearo for a week or two (depends on the juice your using how long between cleanings). Clearos last me weeks, usually until I break something pulling them apart. Then I pitch them.

Also, during the period of use, you don't have to clean them to change between flavors. That's why I love clearos. Just run all of the juice out before you put a new flavor in.

I really interested in getting a clearomizer, but I've noticed a few posts on them melting. What makes them melt? The phoenix from gotvapor seems to be pretty durable.

Certain juices that are high in acid makes the polycarbonate ones melt. The Phoenix does not. I have seceral Phoenix clearomizers that have had cinnamon and other juices in them for over a week with no cracking.

    The vivi nova 2.5, a 3,5ml won't melt either
