Hope you enjoyed your vacation. It seems as if you can get overheated.

I have my opinion on mods and tanks, but you won't find me posting in any clone threads while clone owners find their way into authentic threads. The authentic kayfun V4 thread is a prime example where clone buyers need to put their two cents in.

You're right I take personal attacks from people personally.

Do you own an auth V4, or is your opinion based "using a friend's", forum info you read, etc? I own both ricks, the auth is better in every way, a tangible diff you can see, feel, etc. They vape similar yes, but the auth is noticeably nicer in every way. Whether one sees the value in how much more its worth is totally subjective, but it is worth every cent to me.

If one doesn't own both, use both the same, build and vape them regular, I don't see how you could hold an intelligent conversation about them being excactly the same as an auth.

I've tried an authentic SM KF4 a few times when they first came out. The only difference is the finish. The authentic looks like its buffed smoother. That is it. They vape the same. The only real difference is what they sell for. $180/$22. I'd rather pay $22 for basically the same thing.

Ricks ... I have a couple of KFL and Magma clones that are highly spoken of ... they are exactly comparable to the dollar store tool scenario I pointed out.

All of my used authentic Kayfuns are hands down better quality and will outlast the clones by many years of longevity.

Yes, I am positive about this and am willing to bet you the price of an authentic K4 ;)

Show me... Who made them?

I could NEVER buy a used device that I put in my mouth. That's disgusting, You don't know where it's been. I don't care how well you clean it, It won't come near me.

Understand. I own both, not just tried the clone, have used and built/wicked both many times. My opinion is of no more value than yours, but my experience with both is obviously more in depth. My opinion is the auth is worth every cent more. By the way, I paid 144 for it with Intaste, I could sell it for 120 on the classies in a day. I'd rather pay for an auth, but good to hear you are happy with yours.

Ok, but that's like expecting dentists and surgeons to throw away tools after each patient :). Or refusing to use silverware at someone else's house. For me, this isn't an issue. I am confident in my ability to thoroughly clean new or used items.

Is a Tobeco k 4 as nice as an authentic? No, it isn't, but its decent and works.

I definitely have a few super nice clones. If they don't last as long as their authentic counterparts, I expect that's partly because of what I do to them. They go out to the barn, fall off tractors, get dropped, etc. And let's be honest here, if a $20 atty breaks, I'm not going to cry about it :)

Does anyone else see similarities between the atty/vape gear front and mechanical/high end watches?

I say "similar" - not the same of course, but SvoeMesto and other high end atty makers are like the Rolex/Omegas of the vape world in my opinion. And I love em for it.

Vape gear is becoming highly innovative and I consider each design to be a work of art like a fine watch. So if nothing else, we need some folks buying authentics to keep the innovation going - right?

I do think it's comparable at least, with all the high end watch knock offs out there as well, mostly out of China.

Notice I'm not being confrontational - just noticing the comparison is all. Just like in watches, there will likely be a market for both authentics and clones. I just want the SvoeMesto's and Erlkonigin's and others of the world to keep making money and making new ideas is all. (And I realize some clone companies have sometimes driven innovation as well).

*I'm also guilty of owning both clones and authentics btw. Just making an observation.

I should add that in the case of the k 4 specifically, I don't expect my clones would last as long as an authentic. Its such a complex design.

However, it was also one I wasn't going to buy at all, to be honest. I wasn't all that interested. It was a gift. I do like it, but I don't (yet) love it. After I play with it some more I'll know if I want the authentic or not. This one I'm not sure yet.

I drop my KF4 clone too and it looks like the day I bought it. I just can't see what makes the SM one better? The only difference is one is buffed a little more. That is all. Everything else looks and works the same. I just don't get what you guys are trying to prove here??? Just let it go. Don't you have more important things to do?

Why would you think a iPhone is free whether new or old? Leave the contract early? Do you expect the carrier to give you the phone free? I read the fees before I sign a contract.

Apparently you completely missed the point.....i was there one saying those "free" phones weren't really free

There is something about a quality made product which appeals to me, as manufacturing is my profession. I am quite knowledgeable in precision craftsmanship and what it takes to achieve. Most people probably have the same reaction I did when I received my first ProVari...
I understand some can't see the difference between high quality and price point manufacturing, however, but supporting an industry which steals the work and name of others is no excuse...

I was afraid of all those parts myself. But all the good things I read made me brave. I waited and read all I could about which KF4 clone was the best and pulled the trigger. I bought 2 Tobecos and immediately loved them. I could use any size wick and wire combo and it vaped great.

Its the base I think may not hold up? I don't know, it might. So far its working fine. But, that base could probably benefit from perfect machining for longevity.

If I decide I want a k 4 permanently though, I'll be watching and waiting for a good deal on a used authentic. I also admit you could buy several clones for the price of one authentic. And while I can almost always spend $20 to get another, I can't always spend $170, that's for sure.

This coming from the person who posted hundreds of negative. Comments about the P3 because he couldn't afford it for one reason and it was underpowered. He defined the role of being a troll.

Go back and re-read that thread. I said only one thing negative.... That I wished it had more power, which I'm not alone in. I readily admitted that provape makes a great product, and wished they would make one suitable to my vape style, cause I'm not going to save up that long.... Drop that kind of cash on a device that doesn't suit my needs no matter how well built it is. Apparently one can not say ANYTHING that may appear to be a negative about provari? Please.
Fyi, I'm currently vaping on a variant, that I had to make payments on, but suits me perfectly, so I WILL spend the money when it's WORTH it.
Do us all a favor, and keep your comments less personal, specially since you have proven you don't know me, or anything about me. Thanks

Come on peoplezzzz

It's a beautiful Saturday - relax and quit nipping at heels - go out and get some fresh air !

I am outside enjoying this beautiful day. Vaping while I get my lawn fixed up to be the nicest lawn on my block. Like it is every year... Love yard work, it's therapeutic. Vaping too!
