Actually yes, many Tobeco products have been cloned. At one point their name and packaging was 1:1 replicated and it was damaging to their reputation too because the clones of their clones were not good quality. Most had absolutely no idea that their crappy Tobeco clone was in fact a clone of a Tobeco clone.

Tobeco is still being cloned however, the cloner no longer uses the Tobeco name, but does replicate their packaging minus the Tobeco name.

When it comes to cloning China does not discriminate ..

That last line  Yes, that is a fact.

Oh, this is interesting, at least for me who has been mulling this over. The hcigar k4 was available with your choice of: fake SM logo, hcigar logo or no logo. Its only been for sale in the US a couple/few weeks. I went to find a pic of it for this thread and all the non logoed and hcigar logoed ones were sold out. I think that kind of supports my theory that Americans don't necessarily want fake logos.

According to some here, that just can't be..... We all just want to pretend we have something we don't. :p

Its true. I was wondering what happened to the photos? Then I scrolled down and saw "sold out" next to the choices for no logo and HCigar logo. That's why I didn't post the pic. They took them down.

It just illustrates a point I've made in one of these threads (they all start to blend together after awhile). Many of us don't buy clones to pretend we have something we can't afford, we buy them to have a vape experience we couldn't afford otherwise. When I started vaping I quickly learned an ego pen wasn't cutting it, and the slew of affordable authentic regulated mods didn't exist. The only options I had were moving into the mech world. My job for the last couple of years is managing a sober living home...... This pays next to nothing. My living expenses are met, and I gross about $60 a week to meet all other expenses.... Authentics were, and still largely are, out of the question. Any one who tells me I should have just been happy with a crappy ego pen can KMA in my opinion :p
I do pick up some extra horse work on the side now, and that's what I use for my new gear now, since this has become a hobby instead of just a way to stay off cigarettes.
That being said, after I got my kanger sub tanks, I got rid of all my other tanks except for one...a Tobecco kayfun lite clone. It has no logos anywhere, it's build quality is great, zero threading issues, no machine oil etc.. It's still one of the best flavor producing tanks imo, and I like the clean logo free look.

Perhaps the re-sellers are starting to get worried, so bought up the remaining stock until the sweat shack can crank out some more...

? Worried about what? Did you read my post? The only ones left in stock are the fake SM logo ones. The ones with no logo or the HCigar are the ones that are sold out

Really? Awesome! What price are they?

Cloud,
Ricks is giving you accurate info; ignore the others.

The Kayfun 4 design can be a bit overwhelming at first with all the twisting, turning, trying to get to the air flow control, etc., but there's plenty of good videos to help you out. I own the Tobeco brand of it as well and can speak to the quality of the materials first-hand. The steel used is good. Nearly all steel comes from Asia, it has since the end of WWII. The steel used in the Svoemesto KF4 likely comes from the same Asian steel mills as the Tobeco product. Beyond that, there's really not much to these things anyway, just some tube and threads really.

Good luck

Yes, the re-sellers who buy from FT who sell online or at B&Ms, or eBay or wherever else thrifty vapers go to buy junk, may be getting worried about selling branded counterfeits, so have been buying up the ones without the name and logo...

This is a reseller though. Its either a B&M or online retailer. And they had all three. FT doesn't carry HCigar items. These were likely gotten directly from HCigar.

FT clones are generally from unnamed cloners. They don't carry Tobecco, EHPro, HCigar or Infinite. They do have some k 4s they say are Infinite though.

I believe that Roxy's point (and Rick's earlier) is that no one really cares about having a logo on their tank, so your point is mute.

I guess you haven't watched P. Busardo's China tour video... The vendors in the US who order the counterfeits from the sweat shop shacks want the logos because that's what most customers want. I know some say they don't; maybe that makes them feel or look better...

And my point has been that it isn't true. Its what China thinks is true because its part of their culture.

I can't argue with someone who hasn't read my posts. I'm too tired to rewrite them.

Yes, thank you!

For those who don't know, HCigar makes authentic items as well. They have a new box mod with real DNA40 chips for $100, which is very affordable for a DNA40. They also have some authentic atomizers.

No, actually, in this case, the sweat shop owner says the US vendors who put the orders in for the 'clones' want the logos, because their customers want them. The sweat shop shacks don't decide what to make- the US re-sellers do, and by proxy, their customers...

I don't go by some theory about Chinese people wanting brands, but actual evidence from the source- P. Busardo's China tour video... Americans want brands as much as anyone else...
