My 2 cents on clones, and then I'm done here. I'm sharing my opinion, and it's not changing.

Clones are theft, they are fake, they are copies from companies that develop and innovate. Whether a package is a knock-off, or "proudly" displaying their established clone brand, I don't like them. Maybe a cheaper clone company can start cloning Tobecos package, or whatever xyz China brand once they have earned some credibility and QC. Where does it end?

When I got into vaping and quit cigs, I bought a clone. I knew what it was, but didn't know what an issue they were as I wasn't "into" the vaping scene yet. I felt guilty, like buying my wife a cloned diamond or something. It could be a perfect 1:1 stone, but it represents the real deal and is fake. I also felt guilty I was supporting the knock-off companies. Companies with little to lose, very little if any customer support, website info, contact info, etc. These companies have zero integrity, but it's so accepted some have the audacity to proudly specialize in cloning.

Finally, I think many people would feel diff about this industry if they owned a business, a design, etc that was affected by cheap knock offs from Asia.

If anyone here has a car that is NOT a Mercedes...... I suggest you turn it over to the JunkYard. Considering they made the first cars and all other cars are based on clone of those first Mercs.

Do you have a TV that is not by RCA? It's a clone.
Iphone or Andriod? Improved clones of Motorola Brick phones.

FACT is that nearly everything we have that is made by more than 1 company, could be said to be clones, or modified copies of each other.

You have issues and I no longer wish to take part in a conversation with someone who is thick headed and out of touch.

You are the one with the issues with clones. You told me that you saw them advertised using the authentic name and no mention of clone. I'm still waiting for what you saw???

You clearly have issues with me and I really don't care about you.

If you don't want to hear from me, STOP bashing clones!

You can't be serious. Does a Ford or any car look exactly like a Mercedes? If it did it would be a clone. Look up the word clone.

You have issues with yourself and ability to communicate in an adult manor.

Lots of closed eyes. China has clamped down on other fakes but big US companies are on there backs.

I think the key words here is "US Companies".

When there is a Significant Percentage of US Manufactures that are being put Hurt by Clones and Counterfeits, then it seems to be Important.

I refuse to pay $100 for an rda... Period. To me its like refusing to take generic prescription drugs because they aren't "authentic". Sure, there may be a few exceptions, but as a general rule, I feel that clones are close enough in quality to authentic for me. The minor differences do not make up for the major price differences between the two.

I won't either. I used a friends orchid a while back and decided I wanted one too. Went to the manufacturers site and DAMN!!!!! $140. A little research and I got a clone $19 shipped. Didn't feel bad about opening the air flow and hogging the juice channels if I screwed it up oh well.

I do agree clones should not have any logos or writing or copied boxes. I try, when possible, to buy one that is obviously a clone. Honestly, even with something like a Stingray X, the cloners could change the cut out designs and it would be equally as nice.

Copying the style of the device isn't theft if its not patented (and most aren't). Copying the names and logos is.
