I'm chiming in here. But I still have a lot to read yet.

No...no you don't.
There is nothing of value here.
You've got the same old group of anti-clone people, arguing with the same old group of pro-clone people.
There are some new names and faces on both sides, whom I've never seen, but as soon as they voice their opinions, they show their true colors and their names no longer matter.
Please Ca Ike...don't waste your time.
You'll just end up reading "I love my clones. They work just as good as the authentics." from Ricks like 7,000 times, with boring, repetitive verbal assaults from everyone else, peppered in between. Dice that in with some folks (from both sides) who try to bash each other over the head with "facts", only to have the opposite side reply with "Nuh uh! THIS is true...not THAT!" like a bunch of schoolyard children.
In the end, we all lose, because non-vapers who read this stuff think we SHOULD have our community taxed, banned, outlawed, and/or shut down.
How do I know that? Because I had two non-vaping friends of mine read this thread. Then I had one read the Kayfun Lite thread, and the other read the Kayfun v4 thread. I figured these three threads had been through the entire gamut of the clone argument, and would be a good cross-section to view both sides of the fence on this topic.
Now, both of these people are screen writers in Hollywood (no, nobody famous, just successful), so they're comfortable with reading a lot of material.
After they were done, I asked them what they thought.
They both (independently) agreed that, while both sides of the clone arguments are equally pathetic, the pro-clone warriors are the ones who typically start the arguments. They didn't see one instance where anyone bashed a clone for no reason, out of the blue...but noted many occasions where pro-cloners would become aggressively defensive over clones, simply because someone was describing love for an authentic. They did point out moments where anti-cloners got defensive too, but only AFTER the pro-clone banner had been waved.
Remember, these are two non-vaping, independent people, who do not know each other. They've never smoked, and look at me like an extraterrestrial when I vape. I figured their opinion(s) would give me a fairly unbiased look at what is going on here, and in the vaping community.
So, take from this what you will. Remain in denial if you wish. But as far as I'm concerned, I'm unsubscribing from this thread, and blocking/ignoring every person who takes part in a similar argument ever again...on BOTH sides.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, "Good riddance!" I know. But I just thought I'd give all of you a little glimpse from outside the box.

I'm a long time lurker, and find all of this interesting myself. I ran a search for "counterfeits" and came up with this closed thread:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...does-ecf-not-allow-clones-6.html#post14165770

From what it looks like to me, this is one of the reasons they are not allowed to be sold on this site's classifieds:

As stated previously, it is illegal to sell counterfeit merchandise, that would even include a member here selling as well but that isn't really the reason here on ECF, not the main reason anyway. The point is, it is intellectual theft. These people are stealing someone else's ideas and work. It would be just like you investing a large amount of money and time to develop something, you price the item for $50 to recoupe the time an money invested, only to have a counterfeiter come in offering a copy of that item for $10. I would hope this would enrage you!

Our stance on counterfeits is to not promote them in anyway through our private sales section, namely the Classifieds and CO-OPs. Our rule is to discourage and to not promote counterfeit products. A side effect of this rule also helps prevent members from being scammed into buying a counterfeit when posted as authentic.

I really don't know what's on the classifieds since I am waiting to get enough posts for my verification, and I guess it does not concern me until then. I just wanted to add to this discussion that I find interesting.

Well, of course we have the rule that counterfeits can't be sold here. But, dishonest members have sold them, misrepresenting them as authentic. There isn't much that can be done really. Buyer beware. The onus would be on you to prove you bought a misrepresented counterfeit. Buy from members you trust and that you feel strongly in their honesty. Or buy things that haven't been copied.

I've bought these used because I know there are no clones: Gus Estia, Eviva-t, Phenomenon Lite, Spheroid.

I also bought a Stingray. Seller had the JD Tech bag, and receipt, and from reading his posts I felt reasonably assured it was authentic.

No dude, I'm being serious

I'm just wondering if they have some special insight or something.

If this is supposed to be a moral debate, legal debate, materials debate, economical or whatever. Where does screenwriter as an occupation fit into it?

Or am I missing something?
Dude you need to read his entire post. You're questioning someone who is not subscribed to this thread. I would venture you are on his ignore list as well.

I read his entire post two people that don't vape read the threads and came to a conclusion...that's swell and dandy.

I'm questioning what do the individuals occupation have to do with it? The importance of that is not said anywhere.

I was asking anyone that has an answer...i take it you don't know either?

As to being on his ignore list... Thank goodness for small favors. The emails were a few steps too far in my opinion.

So I'm trying to see the significance of a screenwriter in hollywoods opinion.

Does their occupation make the opinion any more important?

My guess is he was trying to allude to a higher level of reading comprehension based on their jobs...... Something I wouldn't assume based upon the mangled usage of language in scripted media these days :p

No one said anything about his knowledge base.

It's the lack interpersonal communication skills and sending of unsolicited and insulting private messages .

(and continuing them after being asked to stop) this is a forum not a place to be harassed via PMs. Again....theres," that line."

Thank you catako, I see the point; however I agree with you. Lol

Freedom of speech. Oh they don't have freedom of speech in China.

Which is why I feel for their citizens. Not their government, the people there. If you know anyone who lives in or has lived in China, you know what I mean. We moan, gripe and complain about a lot of petty things. They would love to change places with us.
