So good to see you in this neck of the woods LD! Most everyone I know goes to RTD Vapor for their batteries. They have great CS and good prices AND they only have the best. No knock offs or any of that worry with them. I have heard you should never use protected batteries, but then again I have not been doing this all that long so if Waho has been using them then I am sure they are fine. I would just make sure you don't sub ohm is all. I think that's the idea anyway. Hopefully someone else will chime in.

I'm off to get a few 18650's for my new Cutlass that will be coming to my house soon!

Just got my first RSM!!!!! It is gorgeous!!!!

What batteries should i use in the Mark VIII Dreadnaught?

Would a button top IMR 18650 fit? the flat tops do not, and before i order a couple wanted to see if anyone had a recommendation :)

Another +1 for RTD vapor, best guys around and my only source for batteries.

In the protected vs IMR AW 16340's for stacked VV mods, I have to give my nod to the protected. They work together to supply amperage so protected work just fine as long as you keep the resistance above/at 1.5ohms, just up the voltage to get higher wattage if that's your thing (it's my thing anyway :D) I wrap ~2 ohm coils on VV mods and run them at 5+ volts with great results. Extra battery life from higher mah as well.

On the VV RSM that i have, what is the absolute LOWEST OHM i can use?

I am a low resistance kinda cat

I'd say probably around 1.2 ohm would be the lowest I'd go. I think (Cappy would know) the regulator can do up to 25 watts maximum before it cuts out for safety.

Edit:
Forgot that my friend with my old 5.1 has a 0.9 ohm coil in his running at 3.8v. Works great but the battery life is awful. It'd be preferable to run a 1.5 ohm coil at 5v for the same wattage for safety reasons though.

Arrr, done for the day here. Been cutting and tinning wires and soldering till me eyes bleed, time to knock off for the day and rest me blurry eyes.

Do you send an email notice when you ship? I'm in and out of town on business quite a bit and want to be here when it comes, if possible.

I make all desk caddies over weekends and ship on Monday/Tuesday. When I print out the label you will get a USPS tracking number sent your way.

Blush..............mwah

and uber thanks again to Deb, i wouldnt be here (or have an RSM) if it were not for her :)

I think I was running around 1.2 ohms. This is why I like the VV. I can make my coils a bit higher and adjust the voltage. Works for me. :)

Rest Cap't ..............That way you can get up bright and early ya know. Bwaaa haaa. You know I am so kidding on that. No reason to wear yourself ragged.

I use to do doll artistry ( repaint their tiny faces ) and wearing those magnifying glasses trying to work with a brush that has just a few bristles can really do you in after awhile. Not to mention what it does to your back. So please do take breaks. Okay, that's my mom speech for the night.

Ahoy me 'earties, been a quiet day here!

Gearing up for a busy day tomorrow, then time to do desk caddies as usual.

Arrrr

Them gunwales are awash with urchins cap'n. :)

Sucks we're running full production Saturday :(

Hope everyone enjoys their full weekends!

Sucks the schooner is light on mates :D

I know you'll get back after a serious weekend. I have a question about the Caddy's for box mods. It is stated the box mod slots are 1.2 X 2.2 but the iTaste VTR is just a bit bigger 2 1/4" x 1 1/8" which is 1.125 X 2.25

Will it fit? I want to order your Desk Caddy Holder -Medium - Combo in Cherry
