Ahoy!

Well, I've churned through the PM's and E-mail and fortunately many of them were just chat.

I think when the regulated mods are ready I will announce a date and time when I will post pics on the thread and shortly thereafter I will put them on the website for sale.

Bumping yet again to post basic info about RSM's

Ahoy!

Welcome to the new Redskymods thread.

Our website - RedSkyMods.com

As I begin my 4th year of production, it's also time to re-start our thread here on ECF.

I am pleased to be able to offer what I think are some of the finest exotic wood PV's and desk caddies available and also do my part in helping people kick the cigarette habit and offer an infinitely better alternative.

RSM mods are not for everyone, but, if you love exotic woods carefully crafted into exquisite hand held mods, beautiful both inside and out, then they may be for you. Read on!

I offer the finest PV's that will last for years of use and do that by ensuring you purchase not only a gorgeous mod, but a safe and reliable mod as well.

Our PV models are under constant evolution and incorporate the best that the e-cig world has to offer. I do not, however, instantly jump on the latest fad or feature until it has proven itself on the market and is a fitting match for RSM mods.

Every month or so I release our latest creations for sale on our website. The loyal crew here on the ECF thread get a heads up on our daily activities and usually get the first pick of newly released mods.

I have also offered desk caddies for the last couple years and also try to adapt to the changing market and offer stands and holders that compliment your PV collection and are as beautiful as they are functional.

Enough! Let's take a look!

(Click on any thumbnail picture for a larger view)

RSM currently offers 4 models to fit most needs.

Cruiser; 3.7 volt, 6 ml bottom feeder. Single 18650 battery.

Marauder; 3.7 volt, 23.5 mm inset tank mod. Single 18650 battery.

Cutlass; Variable watt using the DNA20 regulator, 6 amps, 6 ml bottom feeder. OLED display. Single 18650 battery.

Destroyer; Variable watt using the DNA20 regulator, 6 amps, 23mm inset tank mod, OLED display. Single 18650 battery.

For desk caddies, we basically offer small, medium and large holders of various styles.

Here are thumbnails of just a few of the many desk caddies offered - Website-Desk Caddies

Small Medium Large

See what other people think of RSM mods. Here is a link to our new website PV review page. Hopefully more people will find time to give us a review!

Always remember to not over-tighted your atomizer or tank. Tighten just enough to feel resistance and maybe a bit more. This will prevent premature failure of your atomizer connector seal and save you the cost of a repair.

Good afternoon crew!

The batch looks spectacular Cappy! I'm particularly fond of the zebra/walnut marauder, congrats to the new owner :D

Unfortunately circumstances are forcing me to sell some of my RSM's. :(

I'll be putting them up tomorrow some time. My cruiser, cutlass II VV, cutlass dna20, destroyer dna12 w/ GG Penelope V1 and mark 8 dreadnaught.

Figured I'd give a heads up here before I list, give y'all a better crack at them :)

Ok, I'm confused know. Which ones are the DNA?? Cruisers....Cutlass. I can't keep em straight. Used to be on the website, now it's not.

The DNA30 ones will be the Cutlass, the ones pictured (at the top) are Cruisers- which are bottom feed w/ no regulators (like Woodvil and Phidias).

Maybe it would be easier to keep track of if you posted the pix individually once it's finished, and let the people who want a specific one pick that pix and pay for it (people can eyeball the one they want now). Then you don't have to put it on the site?

Because if you put it on the site, someone else might snag it before the person who called it even sees it...

I think you are missing the point GG. Anything that hits the site is a free-for-all. The ones that are (taken) are already sold.

T

I was responding to what he said above the pictures: "I think when the regulated mods are ready I will announce a date and time when I will post pics on the thread and shortly thereafter I will put them on the website for sale."

If people picked them, then pay for them, they shouldn't be put on the website for sale to avoid confusion.

But what you said is probably what he meant:).

That yellow heart is fascinating... never seen that before. The pix shows a sheen, like you see in purple heart, but in yellow!! The one in the mod looks way better than the yellow heart wood pix I've seen online. Very nifty:).

You get a yellow heart for cowardice and a purple one for valour?

They are all fabulous looking mods and well worth the money for the effort and time that has gone into them. I'll be sorry to see Waho unloading a few and hope they at least go to discerning vapers that understand the difference between knocking out a product and enjoying what you do and producing the best you can.

BTW GG - you could make me a Fushigi ball like that one in your avi?

That's a glass marble, and I only have a torch that will melt up to 2" diameter, and that's pushing it:). A juggling ball is around 4", and you don't want that out of glass, a 4" solid ball of glass would weigh many pounds...

The only guy I know who makes that size glass balls is James Yaun: http://www.jamesyaun.net/

Here's a marble dealer with some of his marbles for sale (tho the biggest there is 2.25", but I have seen James' 4" marble/paperweights before) : James Yaun Marbles For Sale Photo Gallery by Brian Bowden at pbase.com

Marble Bert may have some of James' marbles too (tho writing him directly may be the least expensive... a solid 3-4" glass ball can run you thousands of dollars, depending on what he uses for color- James mostly uses 24K gold): Contemporary, Antique & Vintage Marbles & Art Glass Paperweights - Contemporary, antique and vintage Glass Marbles, studio art glass paperweights

- just looked... Josh Simpson has some on the above site that are over 3" too!

You can probably get him to custom make a 3-4" ball. My average size is about 1 1/4" diameter:). PM me if you are interested in the 1-2" size marbles:).

Thanks GG, informative as always and nice to hear you like small balls as much as i do!

I suppose i'll have to play a guitar for a living instead.

T

LMAO... well, most people who don't see much art glass don't realize what they are:). Have you ever picked up a crystal paperweight? Or the little Baccarat sculptures they sell at upscale gift shops? If you know the price of Baccarat, Lalique, Lennox, Waterford, etc.... those are made of clear borosilicate glass (I know they're called crystal... same thing). All glass is colored with precious metals or rare earth, so it just goes up from there. What the Chinese call 'pyrex' is not the same quality glass.

Most glass balls, called paperweights, are only 2-3" in diameter... and they usually weigh over a lb. A juggling sized glass ball will be up to 5 lbs... and juggling 3 of those could give you a hernia... if you drop one, you may not have toes left. So imagine throwing Baccarat balls colored with 24K gold, platinum, germanium around to juggle with... that's what you asked for. And I won't spend hours/days making them for you to break your toes, or crack your head open with anyway.

But you should see James Yaun's big marbles to believe em. His work makes Chihuly's glass quality look amateur (well Chihuly mostly does blown glass sculptures). Ever been to Vegas? The glass ceiling in the Bellagio's lobby is a Chihuly sculpture.
