Cutlasses and Cruisers are my favourites too, since i am all about bottom fed mods. I run RM2s on mine.

I cannot remember offhand the size of tank that a Dreadnought takes, as to whether a kayhfun would fit, but those and Marauders are built to take an inset tank. In fact seeing one of those in use by a friend of mine is what piqued my interest in these mods to begin with. The wood and craftsmanship is stellar, well up there with any other wood mod.

Mine were made from woods that i chose, but if i am honest, some of the things Cappy has produced that were his own choices are easily as nice as some of my choices.

After my previous conversation with Brandon at Evolv, there are going to be several reasons I will still be using the DNA20 for now. I'm not sure if I'm free to talk about specifics yet so I won't. I may very well be using the DNA30 in the future, everything changes.

Getting ready to head off to Easter dinner, time to stuff meself, harr!!

Later!

So, I have found a new way to use Lin. I made up some "base" Just nic and vg, no flavoring at all. I put that in the RSM bottle and squonked. Then I drip one or two drops of flavor concentrate in the RM2. OMG so so awesome. I do mostly fruit flavors so this works great. It's a semi dripper :)

I hope everyone had a great Easter and that all are doing well. Got a few folks curious as to when Capt' will be doing his next batch so I directed them to the thread.

I went to a local B&M today and took Lin with me and everyone in the store was asking me, where did you get that? It's so awesome .....:) :) Lin is truly a conversation starter

Ahoy me 'earties, happy Tuesday!

Desk caddies went out today and I'm back to sitting at the cnc machine programming a couple prototypes I'm going to test.

I've decided to make a few 3.7v Destroyers and Marauders but I'm also going to make a couple that can handle 26650 batteries. Instead of yet another new model name I'll just call them Destroyer 26's, etc. It doesn't look like it will be too hard adapting the 18650 styles to the big batts but the Inset tank Marauder will have to grow in height as the tank well would overlap the battery chamber due to its larger size. Oh well, can't have everything. Depth should work out to about 1.35" and width to about 2.3" with the Cruiser26 remaining 4" tall and the Dest26 at 4.6" tall.

I'll make one prototype of each and if the numbers worked out correctly I will start on the short/small batch while waiting on word of the regulators.

Glad everything is coming along with the house Waho, should be getting it just in time for spring!

Long time no see crew!

According to my mortgage lady I should have a new address in two weeks! Pretty excited, and it's going to cost to the tune of 6 grand less than I thought. Arr!

I'll get some photos when I can, might be a while in the hectic mess I predict moving will be :p

Congratulations!! Finally! Hope the move goes smoother than the hassles you had finding the place to begin with.

Give it 2 weeks and your other half will have a nice fat 'honey-do' list worked out for you! ;)

She's got most of it made out already I assume. And that's only the stuff she knows about so far!

so, i bought 4 EFEST IMR 18650 2100 mah "30 Amp" (purple) batts. After charging, all 4 refuse to fire the DNA20 in my Cutlass. i mean the DNA chip stays dark. switching back to an older batt works fine.

i'm guessing they are a tad shorter than the mod loves, but other than switching them to other mods to make sure they work, i haven't fiddled or measured much.

Any chance you have a battery spacer you can try?

no, but i might have a 2 cent fuse laying around somewhere i may try.

i don't think it's a big deal. just wanted to raise the issue, in case anyone else encounters it. the mod is good. the batts are good. may just need a bit of coaxing to play nice in the sandbox...

i run Orbies - rebadged Sony's and they are fine. I liked the look of the 35A Efests for really brutal low coils (and HRH likes the look of them because they are purple - a fabulous basis for a battery choice no?) but i have none until i hear how they perform.

Apart from a cutlass i have that runs stacked 18350s, the rest run on sensible PD2900 Orbies (18A batteries) and that includes all the DNA 20 ones.
