Yeah the lack of reverse battery protection is the only thing I don't like about the dna stuff.

As for the pool lucky you. That has always been my dream to have a house with my own pool. Maybe someday.

Yeah, I was happy when I found out the DNA20D would have it, not sure if the DNA30 is gonna have it yet or not, I'll have to ask once I get ahold of someone there.

We're in a pretty old house, but the pool was renovated about 15 years ago. It has a new roof now and other stuff that just had to get fixed so it's much better than it was a few years ago. Honestly, I didn't really want this place as I knew it needed lots of work, but my sister and brother in law are 15 years older than us and they wanted to live in a retirement complex so they sold it to us for 1/3 market value.

Mowing lawn in 95 degree weather, for a old Minnesota boy, that's hell.... arrrr

Yeah the heat would kill me. My friends call me an eskimo. I keep my room at 60-65 degrees when I can. Not many houses here in CO have swimming pools so getting one with a pool would likely take some money. Maybe someday when I win lotto lol.

Good night man, you are fast :)

Oh and did I read right, that on the desk caddy, like the last one I got ( small combo) that was for the bigger tube mods. You can make one that is for the regular sized tubes. like the Provari, Chi You etc etc size? I didn't realize when I bought the last one that it was for the larger tubes. No worries though, I am going to donate it for a contest that is going on at a diff forum. Someone will love it as it's awesome. I just don't have any of those bigger tubes so I am hoping you can do one with smaller holes for me.

No prob Deb. I can change the size of any of the desk caddy holes, or substitute one bottom accessory layout from one desk caddy to another. About 1/4 of the desk caddy jobs I do are custom in some way. If you don't know the dimensions of the mod then I just need the mod name and I will look it up and get the specifics I need.

Just received my 26650 mod... and my first impression was... WOW!!! Just WOW!!!

Lately, I've been a bit of a mod hoarder. I decided that if I was going to get a bunch, why wait, I'll do it at once. Of all the wood mods out there, frankly, the Capt' Brian's was not on the top of my list... because these days, fancy woods seem to be on the top of everyone's lists, and these are relatively basic seeming wood, so not as apparently fancy.

You could have knocked me over when I opened my box. The mod is GORGEOUS in person. And hands down by far the most perfect finish of all the wood mods I own upon opening.

Not to say that other mods are poorly finished, but final finish takes a lot of time and skill to get perfect, and I've gotten used to having to do some more sanding and resurfacing myself. I have either refinished or in process of refinishing every single wood mod I own. From visible scratches, surface imperfections to bubbles in polyurethane, except this one.

This one starts out with a flawless surface, in addition to flawless joining, clean interiors, and cut with angles, light finger grips, curves. A lot of attention to detail has been paid to THIS mod. And on top, there's a perfectly sized stainless cup, where every atomizer I own fits in perfectly like a glove, not too big, not too small, and the stainless drip cup color matches all my RBA.

Sizewise, I'm amazed that a 26650 battery box mod could be so compact in the hand. Yes, it's big, but if you've seen a Minke 26650 battery, it's so huge, you expect a huge mod. This is not that much larger than a 18650 mod, and with the grips, more comfortable to hold than most.

Function, I got my 26650 batteries today too, so they aren't fully charged. I popped them on the charger, but just to make sure the mod fired, I pulled them off at 1/3 charged, popped one into the mod just to test fire, and wow. Perfect. I don't know if it's from the power of the battery, or the size of the connections because of the large size of the battery, but there doesn't seem to be much difference in vape from my 24K plated sub-ohm kitted Reo Grand (just took the rm2 off it and put it on the 26650 Cruiser). I will do more testing later when the huge batteries finish charging.

I'm so glad I bought this mod, can't believe I almost missed out. Sign me up for a DNA30 Capt', I'm sold on your work:).

Awesome I will get with you a bit later then. It's just the normal sized tube mods. Like the Provari etc etc

Congrats glassgal on your new addition!
Hey, REO's are great, not gonna deny that. But for me..............RSM all the way. :) I sold all my REO's.

Everyone likes something a little different and that's why it is so great that we have artists ( yes, I consider them artists) like Capt' and Rob and of course there are others too.
Anyone, no matter what their tastes can find something they love.

Hand grip on my 26650 mod, surprisingly perfect for a HUGE battery mod:

There's a slight cutout for where your palm pad goes for a perfect fit:

Very slight Finger cutout grips (can't slip out of your hand, even when wet):

The clean precision of the interior (Woodvil are this clean internally too. Woodvil externals aren't bad, better than many, just that this is fine furniture grade finishing work):

The wood is African Mahogany... which is also known as Khaya... hadn't seen it before, but it's got banded shimmering stripes like bubinga, but subtler. I have a bubinga Phidias... this is a prettier wood.

The entire mod appears to have been cut from ONE piece of wood, including the door, either that or he did a remarkable job lining up the doors. The first thing I thought of when I looked at the color symmetry was... ooh... you can carve/pyrography a design into the back, and this paler wood would make it REALLY stand out.

Can't really think of anything not to like (that ginormous battery is still not charged up yet). Design wise... I don't like the angle at the top of the door. However, the purpose of the door shape is apparent when you open it... the magnet that holds the door is right under that top left corner, and there's logic in the placement. I'd like to see slightly sharper angles on the door tho... because design wise, it's not enough contrast, yet too great a contrast to be considered repetition. There's a little bit of incongruity visually... which is ONLY noticeable in photos... in person, it's so beautiful, you don't notice. The back is just fluid... and reminds me of a fine rifle stock for some reason.

The mod is superb, and exceeded all my expectations:). Oh, I have a complaint... nothing to do with the mod tho... 26650 batteries take FOREVER to charge...

Nm, the 26650 is about 3/4 charged, good enough. I took it out, went to fill the bottle, and YAY!!! It's interchangable with the Woodvil/REO/Dibi sized bottles (Phidias & Boogers are different sizes). Even better:)!
