Ahoy me 'earties, happy Tuesday!

I can do that Chet, the new regulators cost $25 from Dimension Engineering and it looks like they still carry them. The one in yours is probably glued in place with hardly any room to work, so I would just gut it and replace the wiring, regulator and LED all at once.

Waho! Good to see you around again matey, the ships lookout has been whining about never getting a night off. Say, a M1911? That's what I used to carry back when I was in the service on security duty. Time to talk another trade?

Well, today I finished up some desk caddies that were just ordered and also got 3 refurbish/repairs sanded and ready for finish. Almost time to attack the new batch again and figure out what gets made and what gets put on hold. I would estimate a couple months before they are done and ready to go. That would actually be fast for a medium sized batch tbh.

Later all, arrr

As much as I'd like a new destroyer dna 30 with some Cocobolo on it (hint hint :p), I've got to keep it. Lots of his stories surround it. Not to mention he had the slide engraved with his initials. I think of it like a family heirloom, much like my great grandmothers cast iron dutch oven I also now own and use. :D

Ah, that's awesome then, does me heart good to see the younger generations cherishing things from their families past. Not enough of that in this day and age.

And I'll see your hint, and raise you a possibly, arrr

When I found that dutch oven in my mom's basement a few years back, it was completely covered in rust and cobwebs. I spent weeks scrubbing the rust off of it and seasoning it. Now I make my famous Irish beef stew in it for special occasions. Keeping antiques alive is my way of living/preserving history :D

Speaking of, my dad bought a 1973 Yamaha 125cc enduro motorcycle back in 75 and drove it around before he had a license. All the trouble he got into on that thing. He sold it to his cousin who did the same and then I thought it was lost to history. A few weeks ago that cousin found me at work (we work at the same assembly plant) and said he had found it in his garage under piles of junk/scrap wood. He offered to sell it to me for exactly what he gave my dad for it back in 1978 ($75) but only after he restored it for me.

It's funny that even now after my dad's been gone for 2 1/2 years, we're still finding things out about him he wouldn't tell us in life. :D

I always seem to come in late to the party.

Hello everyone! I'm going to hang out for awhile if no one has an objection. Lawd knows I need to start coveting another mod but I'm liking the Cap'n's style. The company, or the person, behind the art means a lot to me.

Welcome to the thread matey!

The cut o' the captain's jib is among the best in the business. You'll not find better company than the crew of the Red Sky! Bunk house is on the left, rum hold is to the right.

If'n ya break the good captain's rules, fear not a walk off the plank, for he went and made box mods out o it! :D

Oops, I let that one go a wee bit early haven't I...

Ahoy and welcome aboard Miata!

I once knew a wench named Miata, in the port o' Tortuga methinks. Aye, she had a peg leg and two hooks fer hands. Not much of a dancer, but when she got to spinning on that peg all hands hit the deck fer fear o' the flying hooks. Arrrrr

I been lurkin' round these parts fer awhile now, and finally registered to post about how excited I am fer one o' these mods! Been lookin' to get a wooden squonker since before I even started with rebuildables. Do ye have any pictures ye might could post o' the two Cruisers ye got in port now? Not sure if I want a regulated one or not. Might get one o' each!

Ahoy DV, welcome aboard!

I have no regulated mods that can be had fer gold nor gifts, but I do have a handful of 3.7v Cruisers models that will be making it back onto the website in the following days.

I had some up on the website made of solid African mahogany but the crew done said they were plainer than the governors daughter. So I've taken them back into the shop and am working a bit o' magic on them. Today I fitted some of the ladies with some gorgeous pieces of wood inlay accents I had stashed away. Tomorrow I will be giving a couple some engraved patterns and one or two might even get a complete makeover.

They should start hitting the website by the weekend, in one's and two's and I will post pics here to show them off when they get put up for sale.

I have a new batch of mods that I just started but completion is a couple months away.

They are pretty! I love it. Of course my cruiser really is gonna need a new home. Just gotta know where to find her ( shamelss plug ) She's pretty but plain, not as pretty as Cappy's new one. :) Thank you so much Cappy you knew I was lusting after a Marauder. I don't have a 26650 yet either so this will be 2 firsts for me. Fun!

I do think the inlays are going to be a real hit for you Cappy.
