Sir, potential crew members want to know more about the ships you're building before we sign a crew contract. Please tell us you're not equipping this new fleet with Chinese rudders.
How low can you go on these Marauders? I mean is .08 safe or should I stay above the 1 ohm? TIA
I hope you mean a 26650 lol anyway if it's not safe I will just stay above the 1 ohm and you knew what I meant Rossum, smartypants LOL

Except for the regulated mods which have their own limits on amps they allow, nearly all of the 3.7v mods I have ever made are limited to how much the spring can handle before it collapses. I think that is around 6 or 7 amps?
I am going to try to make some small changes to the next generation of Cruisers so they can handle higher power, but I'm talking perhaps 10 amps at the most.

I can't wait on evolv anymore, I'm already nearly out of time and only the sale of some Cruisers is keeping RSM afloat. If I don't get some mods up on the website in the next couple months ol' Cappy is gonna be looking for another job, arrrr
Well from the chart I found my batteries are fine for anything above 0.5 I very rarely sub but the build happened to come out at 0.8 ( see I wrote it correct this time ) and I just wanted to make sure before I tried it in the mod. Looks like I am fine.

Using an on-line current calculator and assuming you are using a fully charged battery the lowest ohm coil anyone should use is probably about .7 ohms. That would prevent the spring collapsing if the fire button is held too long. No guarantees, but that limits the output to 6 amps if I punched in the numbers correctly.
I don't mind where they come from, but please make them so they are replaceable if they break... durability is the issue with electronics
All my later generation mods have a wooden electronics cover, when it is removed there is enough slack wire to pull the whole module out and a new one can be soldered in place without too much hassle. As a guy who has had many jobs in electronics troubleshooting/repair I do the best I can to make fixing them easy.
I should also mention that my failure rate for the DNA mods I have made is still zero, no failures yet (knock on wood). The first year I did this my failure rate was nearly 30% but I was still in learning mode and the failure rate has dropped by 10% per year until now its zilch. I think I have had 5 repairs this year and they are all models that are several years old and simply need some tlc due to age and usage.

Hmmm. When I hold the bottom feeder in my right hand I squonk with my thumb. When it happens to be in my left hand I squonk with my middle finger, am I missing something that I should be addressing?

Well Capt' I am left handed and since all the squonkers are "right handed" I mainly hold the mod in my right hand. If held in my left I squonk as you do. Seems like a lot of work to redesign for lefties. We are pretty much used to adapting to a right handed world.
I don't know how the older Cruisers were... but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the very faint finger/palm grips on the 26650. It's something that few other mod makers will take the time to do, and make yours even more special (and more tactile). Just for that alone, I spend as much time vaping the 26650 as I do my other favorite mods, despite the larger battery and less convenience with recharging.
Will you do that on the 18650 DNA30 exotic wood mods too (the super pale wood ones w/ spalted doors)
