Hey folks sorry, I haven't been around much lately, but most of you know my situation at the moment. We still don't have any answers on my mom and that just has me on pins and needles right now. Hopefully tomorrow we should have all the test results back, more info and at least a plan of attach. I apologize for yet another delay with the way things are going in my life and totally understand, no hard feelings if anyone wants me to send their wood to another tip maker. I am slowly getting things done, but just not giving a time line now as to when they will be finished for shipping. The plan is to still have all cut and CA applied by weeks end, but might take me till next week to get the sand/polish completed (as that takes up my largest time since I do them all by hand). But you know what they say about best laid plans. It is what it is, my stress is through the roof and I'm just trying to take life day by day right now.

Now a question for the more informed (which excludes me). Obviously we have all read the really harsh FDA approach to vaping. I just don't have time to find all the threads and see what anyone is saying about ECF vendors. If anyone has any answers, rumors, suspicions or whatever, I'll take what I can get for info. Is this the end of ECF vendors? Hell, is this the end of any vape vendors. I know there are probably tons of threads already, but a nice distillation of the basics would be appreciated.

your drip tips should be safe if renamed. as far as ecf is concerned no idea what will happen to the vendor base.
the way it looks now, anything that is in the market by 8-10 should have a grace period of 2 years. this period is supposed to be used to file a pmta.
never mind that the anticipated cost to file this application for approval is estimated at between $300,000 and $1,000,000 per item. unless you can piggy-back on somebody else's application and approval claiming yours is essentially the same.
i see very little hope for the survival of small vendors/manufacturers if the regulations stay as they are written now.

Yes, I do have plenty of cocobolo, but can't give you a time frame right now. Just depends on how life goes here for a bit. Think I already have some cut into blanks, just pm me with your details and what you're looking for and I can at least get you in my book, er list, whatever.

Well, the news finally fell this afternoon for my mom and it wasn't good, or at least wasn't the better of a bad situation. It was verified melanoma which has spread from a lymph node they missed last year thinking they got it all. So it was actually in another lymph node they didn't remove thinking it would take the path of the closer node (which it did not). So the cancer in her right lung is causing massive fluid buildup and it's also spread to the liver. She get's her port in tomorrow and starts her first treatment next Tuesday. The doctor did seem positive and stated melanoma isn't the death sentence it was a few years back and they have 3 separate treatments now to see which responds the best. So trying to stay positive and keep my mind off it since there is little I can do, but be there for support. I have lost many family members to this already and I'm sure most everyone here has been touched by this dreadful disease too. But she is my last living close relative, so I might be offline for a few days. I still will get everyone's messages, just might not be on the thread as much for a bit.

I am still working on everyone's orders, my personal life shouldn't put you'll out. Just give me a little time to get myself squared away and I will get back on it, even if I have work all my days off. I a firm believer in meeting any obligations I have accepted.

Anyway, everyone take care and I thank you for the overwhelming support you've already shown me through the last many months of rough times.

Really sorry to hear this!! There are several treatment options available now that didn't exist a few years ago. Your Mom and you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Don't worry about the tips, we can all wait. Most important thing in your life right now is to be there for your Mom!! If there's anything at all I can do for you please don't hesitate to ask.
