So! I never posted pics of my clean tank!

Now, that's a thing of beauty!

Anyone know what the black thing that came in the box with it is? Is that one of the things you can use to refill it? Hope so, cause both times I've filled it, I've needed pliers to get the carto out.

The only thing wrong with the tank is that it puts my provari to shame! I need a j wrap!

The black thing is the filler tool. Put it in the top of the carto-like a drip tip and push, slow and carefully! When the slender neck is in the tank and gives a bit of an opening-fill away (leaving the filler tool in place) and push carto back into place from the bottom. Remove tool and replace tip.
That is a pretty clean tank!

Dam, that's a carto tool. It's the easiest thing in the world to use: to refill, put it in the top of your carto (yes you have to remove the TT first :D) and push the carto part-way down the tank. Refill and push the carto back up. It protects your O-rings as well. Even better, you can use it to replace your carto with a fresh one w/o having to empty out your tank: After you've prepared your new carto, put the tool in the top of the carto. Then, in a quick motion, use it to push the old carto up and out while sliding the new carto in. You'll have some juice escape the tank, but once you've done this a few times, it's minimal. I've currently got 3 of them (one I originally had and the 2 I got with my 2 clean tanks).

Awesome looking tank, btw. :D

Thanks Reid, now that you mention it, the top oring did come off the last time I filled it. Now, you wouldn't be able to push a new carto in and old out with the flanged cartos? Are you using boge type?

No, you can't change out a flanged carto with a carto tool. I use Boge for my standard size tanks and Smoktech for my XLs.

Hmmmm.......that's the one I'm having problems getting out! Why do you use different brand cartos for large and small tanks?

I am so proud of my pupster today. He's overcoming all kind of fears. First puddles, and now baths!

Mostly habit I guess. I generally get them from CCV and he always has Smoktech Resurrectors in XL on 15 carto special and Boge standard the same. They work well so why change, lol.

Gratz on the puppy skills. I'm looking at a possible brother for Sophie this weekend. He's a 2 y/o terrier mix at the shelter. The only potential problem is that he's in the middle of going through heartworm treatments. If all goes well, I'm probably gonna ask that they keep him through the treatments. He'll need to remain calm for the next 4 weeks and calm is something Sophie's completely unfamiliar with, lol. Plus, I'm travelling back to ATL in a couple of weeks which would only add more stress to the poor pup.

hi all, hope everyone has been well. summer has been a difficult one this year with the switch in work hours. we do this every year but it just seems to be getting harder as i get older. david, my oldest has a little less than a month left in jail. i visit him on wednesdays for 10 minutes which is what they give you. it seems so short of a time but thats how they do it. everything is done by phone and video camera so its not very personal but its enough. i think this extended stay has opened his eyes that he needs to grow up and that the justice system doesnt play. im ready for school to start actually so i can get back to my regular hours.

Good Afternoon Trippyville,
Howdy everyone and sorry not to have posted for a while. Been busy and am spinning up to get busier for the next couple of months. I'm picking up an LP fridge/freezer(EZ-Freeze) tomorrow up in Shipshewana, IN to haul it down to southern Indiana for a disabled vet/high school friend. I think I mentioned this earlier, he's living off the grid and in major need of some kind of luck. We got him setup with a sanitation solution earlier in the summer, now refrigeration and then looking for a lightly-used wood-burning stove as the one he has is so burned up that it's essential just a metal box to put fire in. He burned 20 cords of wood just to get through the past winter...Cut by chainsaw and split by hand!! He's also been very sick for quite some time and is now in the throws of chasing down what will likely be a returning cancer diagnosis since this isn't his first ride on that horse. But he's a tough old grunt and just works until he drops....literally! Problem is his neighbors keep finding him collapsed in various locations on his property. He'll get up, shake off the fog and go right back to whatever project pushed him too hard in the first place. Hate to see one of my friends from childhood in such bad shape so I'm doing what I can to help. It's been a very strange summer.

We have a trip to upstate New York coming to take my Mom up to see old friends. So I'm trying to get all my wrangling for my friend resolved and then it will be a few weeks before coming over to see the Glass-Master and his lovely wife. Man am I looking forward to spending some quality time in Colorado. I will be sure to take lots of pics so we can prove it did happen. I hope everyone is well and looking forward to a great weekend ahead. Today is my Friday and I'm headed out early. Catch all ya'll later! Brew

p.s. - I did hit my next milestone a few weeks ago at over 60lbs down....(185lbs) :rickroll: Just 10 more to go in the next year and I'll be satisfied at 2lbs. above the healthy range for being 5' 10" tall.
