Good Evening Trippyville,
Hope everyone is doing well on this Humpty Hump day. We finally hit 36°F today after starting yesterday in single digits. Snow is melting but still lots of icy back roads. 10 more days to my 4-year anniversary and happy to have been on this site and part of Trippyville for many of those. I still have a bunch of pics to post of some of my newer Trippies, tops and a special marble. However my free time is still being spent getting our new fur-baby transitioned. It's not going great but we are making progress. He's still at odds with our other three and it is requiring a lot of supervision. Haven't had a relaxing night at home in weeks. Brew

Good Morning Trippyville,
So sorry to hear about the Porky Damselle as that damage can get really severe and obviously expensive. REO Master Robert O'neil has a family or 2 of them living on his property up in Maine and I've come to think of them as the REO mascot. Too bad they can't all just get along

Well we had a break-through last night amongst the tribe with no real altercations all night. Seems are "Big Boy" Buster decided to chase the newcomer Greystoke under a bed upstairs yesterday while I was at work and Grey now has a new-found appreciation for 20lbs of angry orange-cat looking for a piece of his behind. Grey has been mostly behaving ever since. He gets a little aggressive and mewed when Buster got up next to Mrs. Brew on the couch but then settled for me when I made it clear there would be no attitude given to the big guy. Crossing my fingers we continue a linear progression from here. Our other two, who are brother and sister, are still skulking around the house but they are not looking for a fight so we've made progress :thumb:

Warmer weather is on the way here so things are looking up. I hope everyone is well and getting through the week without issues. :toast: Brew

Hi all. Hope y'all are having a glorious week!
Brew, gratz on making the peace. Maybe you can offer some advice on behalf of my sister. She recently bought a house to use for her accounting practice and is currently rehabbing it. A cat recently showed up and has basically adopted her. The problem: while she loves to cuddle with my sister, she nips at my brother-in-law. Any words of wisdom?

That's dreadful, Dam. I'm eternally grateful we don't have them down here; just skunks and dead deer (which my sister's boxers dearly love to wallow in).

You don't have porcupines in Neworleans? What? Well, baths are much cheaper, so good for you! I was reading about the barkiest dogs today and thought of you cause your little gal is on the list of top ten.

Hey Reidus,
Don't look at me, I'm just reporting on my efforts to support our resident cat whisperer (Mrs. Brew). Came home early today to drop off my truck for some specialty work by our mechanic to find we're back at the high-stress cat shenanigans again! I think we're going to try some Feliway to see if some calm-mood feline pheromones might help the situation. I told the Mrs. today that unless things settle pretty quick that we are only fostering this little guy as I really can't take months of this constant fighting/stalking situation. Our middle male is a 16lb muscle and he's spent the last 3 days under one of the beds or slinking to and from meals. Most pathetic thing I've ever seen :( Regarding your sister's cat situation, I really can't say since all of the strays Mrs. Brew has worked with found me just fine after a few sessions out in the garage with her. Never had one nip at me or treat me very differently. I think we've been mostly lucky to this point. I will ask the Mrs. when she comes back up from trying to play-exercise this males aggression away. None of our guys has been outside in 2 weeks and Grey has been in for almost a month. Our guys typically take out their frustrations on each other when cooped up with no outside time but they are channeling all of that angst at the newcomer at the moment. I'm making a couple of strong Captain and Diets to hopefully take the edge off both myself and the Mrs. as it's going to be another very long evening. :toast: Brew

Afternoon Trippyville, I am so glad to be back. I won't go into the boring issues about my health but I am so happy to get back on my computer and see what everyones been up to.
I have two beautiful cats but there have been times we come home and our Bengal "Taj" has defurred our poor "Bella" but other then fur there are no other marks so I guess he is saying I AM THE BOSS.
I am about to settle in with a cup of tea and catch up on the gossip.

Brew just saw the pic of your new cat. He looks like my Bengal. If so you have a very determined cat on your hands that will want to be the boss of the others.
So we're trying to keep all of our fur-family happy. Mrs. Brew is downstairs with Greystoke watching TV while I'm upstairs consoling our existing babies who are not really excited about being kept out of the basement and away from "That weird new smell". However, I did get a moment to take a snap as Greystoke followed me up the stairs to see where and why I was leaving. Here's our new and littlest guy:

I'm trying to be careful that I don't disappoint, but hoping to have them ready in time to get for Christmas. It's going to be tight!

Awesome :) I'm in no rush but its nice to have a loose timeline

It really does look great bud, and will make me pick up the Fun again. Now, if you were doing the same thing with an Orchid sized chimney, I'd be calling you every hour on the hour for progress updates hahaha.

The Fun size will reach a larger customer base though

Ok, so where is the best place to pick up a kayfun? I don't want to miss out on this! What else am I going to need?

Also, how does this work? It appears the fluid is forever separated from the coil.

I just pulled these images from Google, there are some variances between the models, and I believe on has 4 juice channels but this is how it works.

The Chimney screws down and touches the deck, pictured below is the chimney and deck alone. Berts top cap also replaces the chimney, allowing you to see the coils.

The juice flows into the channels pictured below on the deck. Flowing under the chimney portion, the juice touches your wicking material, be it cotton or silica. Inside the chimney, the wicking material stops the juice from further entering the chimney. Too much wicking can cause flooding, too little = dry hits. :) Hope that explained it well enough.
