Morning all. Hope y'all are having a great weekend!
I spent much of last night reading in the battery forum. Whew! I didn't know what I didn't know, lol. After much research, I wound up ordering a couple of AW IMR 2200 mahs from RTD. I want to try them out, as unlike Efest and some of the others, it isn't clear if it's a button-top or flat-top. It looks like a raised flat-top and I need to see if they'll work in my box mods (neither of them make a good connection with flat-tops).

Sedge, I have that one and it's a good battery. That said, I only have one mechanical and one tube mod I can use it on. From everything I've read, my Provari require button tops and it doesn't seem to work on my SVD. And flat tops don't seem to want to connect on either of my mint tin mods. I could have sworn I had some AW flat-tops.
BTW, I never heard: what do you think of the rest of the Lazarus juices?

I didn't know you wanted bats for a Provari v2.5 or earlier. Yes they need button tops. And I'm unfamiliar with the svd or mint tins, though they look really cool.

The new AW IMR are great. AW has flat tops, but they are protected.

I still have yet to try the other Lazarus juices. I've tried like 5 of the 12, not counting the 4 Sir James iterations I've had.

That kinda agrees with my readings. I deduce from my readings that the amps needed can be measured using the following formula: volts/ohms. Watts is volts squared/ohms. So since I've never so far used more than 5 volts on a device, if I'm using my Atlantis at .5 ohms (the ohms on my other devices are higher I shouldn't need more than 10 amps on a regular basis (5/.5). If I ever decided to wrap a coil measuring .2 ohms, I'd need to make sure my batteries were rated for higher than 25 amps, right?

Woohoo! My Plasma tank came in today! Bert, it's a beaut, and it works great. Now I just have to find the right home for it. I suspect it'll go on my DS 40 when it comes in. Though it looks amazing on my KSD tube mod. Pictures are coming, I promise.

Eagerly awaiting pics....I hope mine ships soon.

I got my Plasma Tank in today as well. Pretty nifty looking, now I have to learn how to build my KF:facepalm:

Also, it fits that cheap knock off I bought perfectly.
JD, if I can learn to build a KF you certainly can. There's like a zillion vids on Youtube showing you how. They really are about as easy as you get. You don't even have to deal with trying to thread a tiny wire through tiny holes, lol. The trick is not using too much wick: I take my organic cotton ball, pull off as much wick as I think I need and then reduce it by about a third.

There are a couple of videos about the Plasma Tank including a tutorial on making the perfect wick! I posted them on the product page, which is also a great place to check on the progress of which order numbers have been shipped out:

We've been getting earthquakes here in north TX. Two today, I felt the second one just minutes ago:blink:

Thanks for the link, my first two attempts were pitiful.

That guy never really mentioned what gauge wire he was using or a target resistance. All I got is 22 and 24 then it jumps up to 32, 36 and 38 gauge.

Also, is it possible to drill out this kayfun 3.1 to get more air through it?
