Gah! I'm sick of this weather! Yesterday it was 84, today didn't get out of the 40's with 20-30 mph winds! It's days like this when I wish Sophie was a cat, so I didn't have to take her to pee and poo. Of course the flip side is that I have to do very few dishes: I just put them on the floor and let her lick them clean. :D

For almost 4 years, Trippy Tips have been my favorite drip tip, and I imagine shall always be. The beauty of the art and quality of construction is unsurpassed. I have owned hundreds and nary a one has broke.

The mouth feel of nice, clean, sturdy glass is so much better than any other material. I believe that the internal design creates a vortex that enhances flavor.

The Taper is my favorite shape. I am having a custom wood mod created. I wanted a matching drip tip using the same wood and mirroring the same pattern.

The drip tip maker asked me the shape I wanted and I sent him a picture of my favorite TT. I give you the Trippy Tip inspired wood tip.

Santos Mahogany and Green Maple Burl.

Cool! He glued those tiny pieces of wood together? Then crafted it on that tiny scale? That is a nice looking drip tip. Looks like it has a sturdy clear coating on it but I have to wonder if the feel can even come close to what we are used to.

In a way, it almost looks like glass. Especially the top green part. I wonder if Bert could recreate something similar out of glass?.?

Also, it appears to be hand crafted, not turned on a lathe or something but carved with a sharp knife perhaps. It does very much resemble a Trippy Tip and gets my nod of approval.
