I agree Reidus, Altria (Phillip Morris) wrote the Family Tobbaco Act and the end game is disposibles. Expensive and short lasting. Few vendors will have the resources to make it through the application process for PV's & atty and juices.

I see the day when I will be selling a 30w flashlight with light bulbs that have a 510 connection. Now... if someone were to use it for other purposes..... ;)

This is my worry too. I think Reid may be onto something though. Our fav juice vendors could just sell their juice with 0 Nic, they wouldn't then have to pay to list their ingredients with the FDA, and we could add our own nicotine.

I'd anyone wants to post comments, hers a good link:

Regulations.gov

I wanted to share someone's comment that I thought was really great, as a good example, he gave me permission to share:

This is my comment on the proposal from the FDA. It is personal to me. It is why I continue to be involved in this community. I am Jibba73 and I am proof!
I am 41 years old and have used electronic cigarettes since August 18, 2011. At the time of my introduction to electronic cigarettes I had Stage 3 borderline Stage 4 Emphysema. I had tried traditional smoking cessation products such as, Chantix, Buproprion, Nicotine Gum, and the Nicotine patch, with no success. In fact, the side effects of Chantix spun me into a deep depression to which I had to seek psychiatric help. On August 18th, 2011 with a lung capacity of merely 43%, I started using electronic cigarettes. In March of 2014, after using electronic cigarettes exclusively since August 22, 2011, I was deemed rid of Emphysema having the lung capacity of a person in my demographic who does not smoke.
Electronic cigarettes did not cure my Emphysema. They merely aided as a cessation tool to quit traditional cigarettes. Much of their success was due to the variety of flavors and the ability to lessen my nicotine ingestion as I saw fit. Since my health has improved so drastically, I have been able to be more active for my wife and family as well as being physically capable to breathe. Electronic cigarettes, in their current form, have been a life changing and lifestyle changing blessing. If they are changed from their current form, this includes limiting flavor choice, they will essentially become as ineffective as current cessation products as well as be ostracized as a Big Tobacco ploy to garner new clientele since Big Tobacco companies may well be the only organizations that can afford to pay regulatory fees and initiate testing on "their" versions of the product.
I have helped many people change their lifestyles with the use of electronic cigarettes. None of these people were non-smokers. All of them suffered from some form of health deficiency due to smoking traditional tobacco cigarettes. I am PROOF, that these products, in their current form and variety, help people improve their situations. I implore you to consider this story and the many tens of thousands like it as you look at regulatory standards for this product. Please do not look at the money, look at the results.

Wharf, the point I was trying to make is that ultimately, these regs as written won't hold up in a court of law, for the same reasons that we can still buy ....s. If I can use my Dragon tin to vape 0mg juice, it's not a tobacco product, plain and simple.

And I have to find it humorous that a word that begins with "b" and is the name of a small device that has a bowl that can hold a small amount of combustible substance that is ignited and inhaled is a banned word, even though it's perfectly legal to purchase and possess (not that I do, of course :D).

Reidus I agree on the 0 nic and the .ong

I'm told Baker White's nic has very little tobacco nic in it and they can source 0% tobacco nic.... As Bert said :thumb:

But I think my new flashlight (if it wasn't a flashlight) would be under reg's because some people would buy it to do nic juice.

Same as you can't sell a .ot .ong, but you can it as a tobacco water pipe.

I am hoping sedge will come give his perspective. I can tell you that when the feds busted a bunch of |3ong makers during operation pipe dreams/headhunter it forced the entire scene/culture further underground and forced a lot of people working for big operations to split off on their own and come up with new innovations.

If electronic cigarettes were ever banned people could just start using their old e-cigs to light conventional cigarettes. "Electronic cigarette lighters" of course need glycerine coolant to keep the coils from burning out.

Hi Trippykin,

Wi3yd1T.jpg

Last night I tried 6mg juice. I've been vaping 12mg since the beginning of this year - down from 18mg last year :) I thought it would be too low but remarkably it was okay! I plan to vape 6mg after dinner and hopefully switch to 6mg full time by my fourth vaperversary in December! :D

A sweet Sunday wish to all :toast:

Hahaha - I know they will be renamed when they are adopted. I thought about just switching the names but left it alone as they already respond when called. Well, when they want to.
