Hi folks! Back from vacation! I am convinced that I might be able to live on she-crab soup and shrimp and grits.
Bert, passed on your info to a couple vape shops down in Myrtle Beach, they were super impressed with my Trippies.
Not sure what to make on this whole FDA stuff. I just got back into town so I haven't gotten to read a whole lot. Part of me feels like I need to go stock up on liquid nicotine for the e-liquid apocalypse, but mostly I'm just sad because I feel like in the end Big Tobacco companies and Big Pharma will be the winners and it's depressing to think that corporations would rather keep making us sick for the sake of money.
It also surprises me that as we move towards legalization of the green herb of many of my people (ok, they didn't censor that), that we are making vaping less accessible. Heck, I was impressed at the number of vaping devices that are coming out for the green herb of many of my people as it gives people more smoke-free options for that as well, which in my opinion is not a bad thing. Although, I listen to a lot of anti-vapers, and wow, they have some real misinformation. My sister lives in Virginia, where you can still smoke in restaurants and feels that vapers should have to be in the smoking section. I think that's not entirely fair, as why should I be subject to second hand smoke either, but that's a whole different battle.
Damselle, nursing school had to be put on hold, at least for the time being. Some family stuff is going on, and it has to be settled out first. Unfortunately, I did not get the job that I interviewed for, but I'm getting out 5 resumes a day, so eventually something will come through. It's hard because I have 20 years of clerical/secretarial experience and a lot of people are looking to pay some kid $8/hour to do the work that I'm experienced in. Although at this point $8/hr is WAY more than I'm making, so I'm starting to consider it. I have a few gaps in my employment from when I was needed to provide care to my family, and I'm wondering if that isn't really hurting me. I've never been a job hopper and have very good references, so I'm not sure why I'm having such a tough time. Trying to stay optimistic, but it's frustrating when you look at money coming in and then bills going out. I'm so thankful to be debt free.
Hope everyone is doing well. As per usual, I'm rambling.
