Good AFternooners TrippyKin,

I hope the first week of March is good to you

Our new smart TV taught me a lesson this past weekend! Don't leave the TV set on for hours on your favorite channel!

I'm a great fan of detective shows and have been ever since CourtTV! When CourtTV changed it's name to TruTV, I found I didn't care for the programming as much. Then I found the ID channel on Discovery and it has become my favorite channel. Anyways, I watched the Investigation Discovery channel for hours on Friday night. On Saturday morning my husband was quite upset to see the ID logo burn-in ghost on the lower right of our TV screen

Left as seen when on TV - right burned in logo!

I don't blame him, especially as we have spent hours trying to eradicate the stupid shadow the huge white ID letters left on the screen! Now we know it's there and we can't un-see it! :(

Last night we left the TV on with its internal Pixel-Orbiter on all night - but it's still there. We're going to try some other apps suggested on the Audio Visual Forum, like Pixel jogger and HDTV Burn in. Wish us luck :thumb:

That's good to know. I regularly sleep with the TV on. That hasn't been an issue, though I don't have a smart tv. I do have the box around the picture, though it took years for that to develop (even though it's a HDTV, I generally don't watch HD channels).

Hi Reidus,

I didn't know about this issue before. Ours is also an HDTV... Here's a better picture of the ghosting -- I don't think it read well on the photo above (next to the ID logo pic):

We had a Panasonic HDTV before this, but not smart - we added an Apple TV & a Roku to make it "smart" and get all the streaming apps.

This TV is not as smart as I thought or it would have protected itself against burn-in!

If it's new it should be under warranty and this should be covered

When you post something or share-there will be a drop down list of which list you want to be able to see the post!

Thanks HZ. I looked around for this and couldn't find it. Your link brought me right to it!

That's terrible. I hope you can get that fixed under warranty like Bert says.

Thanks Bert & Damselle -- we've been so busy trying to resolve the problem ourselves we didn't even think of the warranty!
We'll definitely try to get it fixed under warranty if we can't fix it ourselves :thumb:

In the meantime, no Investigation Discovery for me!

Okay, I 've got to share this. Now that my nephew and his best friend are getting their accounting degrees, my sister is finally expanding and has started looking for office space (she's been operating out of her basement office for the last 15 or so years). Today she put an offer on an 1880's Victorian one block off the square of her home town. She's getting it for a song: a bank listing that's been on the market for 2 years that they're asking $29,900 for. Anyway, she sent me a picture of the kitchen:

Talk about nostalgia. I love the metal countertops and am actually kinda digging the pink cabinets. She's planning on turning this into the break room.

Morning all. Hope y'all are having a great weekend!
We had an interesting event here yesterday. We had a Second Line come right by the house. For those of you who don't know WTH I mean, traditionally the Second Line is the Dixieland band and people carrying parasols that follow the casket in a funeral procession. Occasionally they'll pop up during the MG season. Of course, Sophie had a fit, lol.
Coralie, I'll send the Dragon tin to Bert. You can coordinate with him and/or Josh.

Morning all. Blessed Ash Wednesday!
Well Tara got the house with the pink kitchen for $25,000. A 2000 sf house on a half-acre of land one bock from the city square for $25,000! My land is probably a fourth the size and not in nearly as good a neighborhood and appraises for over $100k! That said, it's going to need a whole heap of work. But still! There's a separate space in back we had originally considered for an antique shop, but it's not large enough. It came to me last night: we can set it up as a vape store once I retire! :D

Yeesh!
ECF still isn't working on Tapatalk for me... How is everyone? I am ordering TrippyTips T-Shirts for vape Blast next weekend! They are going to run $15 ea. and I would like to get a general idea about how many to bring so... Who's going, and who wants a T-Shirt? Oh and before anyone asks, yes, they glow in the dark.

Not a thing, darlin'. They came in a 3-pack, so it's what we call lagniappe down here. I'll ship it to Bert tomorrow.
