Finally got my TMod SX working with TC. Thanks for all the help from the group on here... I never would have figured out to lock the resistance without someone slapping me in the back of the head and saying "lock the resitance" 
I have a Ti 8 wrap 3mm single z coil (.43 ohms) in a hobo 3.1.. I have the SX chip set to 50J and 500F, still playing around with those settings.. Any pointers on settings would be appreciated
I am getting an ok vape, but not quite what I expected.. Not as thick as I get from the equivalent kanthal build, maybe this is just the way TC works... I am using 90vg/10 pg unflavored

You shouldn't need to lock the resistance, if anything it only masks a connectivity problem. Usually in the atomizer, a loose connection or cut leg.

I could never get it "stay" at .15 on the sx mod
I am open to any suggestions, I am still very new at the TC stuff
Here is what led to me having to lock the resistance... I would build a coil, check the ohms, put the atty on the mod, resistance would be read correctly, squonk it, fire it once, resistance would jump, on my nickel build it would jump from .15 to .9 ohms... I would then take it back to my ohm meter it would read .15 like it should.... Same thing with Ti... The Ti is a farely large diameter wire, and the fact that it consistently reads the correct ohms off the mod, makes me think that I have captured the legs well

The ohms will be off until the atomizer cools off, the device will know what the temperature is by the resistance. That is definitely too large difference in ohms (if cool).

Yes.... I put it away over night and in the morning it was still stuck at the higher ohms..
That is a problem, with it doing this your TC is very inaccurate...even with the resistance locked likely. Seems like there may be an issue with the chip or the connection to the 510, I can't imagine this being normal but I don't have an SX device.
On my Reliant the ohms always read correctly, place the room temperature atomizer on the device..select new coil and it's accurate. It doesn't even have the ability to lock the resistance.
I will let someone else chime in since I don't have an SX device. If you're not getting a TC vape that satisfies you could switch to standard wattage until you get it figured out. Best of luck.
