Not exactly on the dna200. When I made the predecessor to,the LBC I toyed around with the idea of having a jst port on the inside of the
juice door so I could charge at 3a direct to the battery; it worked great but I just couldn't find a way to implement it with out it looking cobbled together. I used that
mod daily for 6 months or more. What I discovered was when I would charge with the external charger nearly every time I charge via the jst port the battery would read about 60% on a fully charged pack. It would take about a half hour before it figured out someone charged the battery when it wasn't looking. (Lol) it measures the current coming into the board as well as the voltage of each cell when it sees conflicting info it will default to the lower value. I asked evolv about it and they explained pretty much the same. If you want to read what they had to say it's on the evolv 200 forum. Search my posts, screen name Chowderhead72. As I recall that was last August. Maybe I should try that again, my soldering skills as well as equipment have increased drastically since then. Great.. Another project.
