I went a different route... I used hard o-rings as spacers on the 5 that shipped yesterday and squeezed them to fit correctly.

Since the one on the door was broken when it arrived, spacers wouldn't help.
Might help with the smaller R422CS magnets though?

The R622CS pair has enough pull (got bit putting the door on the first time with them) that the only rattle on mine is the firing button.

I don't see any issues with the minor fit issue of the bottle, though a small tweak would only make it better.

But I do wonder where the odd size came from.
Metric I assume, 7 or 8mm? I never measured it in mm.

Oh, pretty sure the contacts were custom built, not of the shelf.
He farmed out all the manufacturing. He just assembled the parts he had made. Should be hard to make on though. I wouldn't bother with the roll on the batter end. I'd solder a button on the end like some other mech mods do.

Yes... that and make them out of thicker material. I swear that leaf is almost 2 dimensional. The body seemed to be made of a decent grade of aluminum; I was expecting die cast zinc. Based on what he charges and my dealings with machine shops I would suspect Paul lost his .... on these things. There is a ton of pointless machine work in those bodies that becomes expensive. If he made $20 on each one I would be amazed.

He honored the original price for those that signed on early, before he really knew how much they would cost to make. So yes, he lot a good bit.

It was supposed to be the first run, with later sales at a higher price. And it was designed with a future voltage/power module in mind, so that may be some of the extra machining.
Well, you know the rest of that story.

The leaf has a 90* bend and then a hump for the 510 pin. Not a cheap bit, even for a 100 of them. But with the changes to the 510 connector, the contact is not longer holding the pin in position so the hump isn't as critical. Just need good electrical contact now.

I'm thinking about doing a cam-m v2. Similar format to the upgraded cam-m v1 (with the VT BF 510) and maybe a different body. Just gauging interest.

Interested here. The CAM M is excellent value for money! Almost indestructible, crazy battery life, hits like a train, and a very solid mod. The VT upgrade made a huge difference IMO. If you can come up with a similar form factor that avoids some of the nuances with the nylon screws, the magnetic switch, (actually the whole positive plate mess) and maybe the difficulty connecting the bottle to the 510 it would be great!

If the quality of the LBC is of any indication, build it and we shall come.

I very briefly considered a a 3D printed micro squonker but the sheer thought of selling anything 3D printed made me gag. Friends don't sell friends 3D printed mods.... 3D printing is for demos and concepts, they are not daily drivers. (Typed while I'm using my clear 3D printed LBC).
