The 2 evolves arrived today. Inspects sent me a hastur2 to look over. For the money it's a great atty but I only have 10 mods and about 50 attys; quite simply out of 50 attys the h2 doesn't make the top ten list.

The v2 Hastur comes with a bf pin, which seems to work okay. Nothing like the diameter squonk pins that Tom makes, but that's to be expected. The Velocity style posts and top-to-side airflow work very well together. My issue was that I somehow destroyed the tiny peek insulator underneath the positive post on day 2 of using it. The company DID send replacement insulators though, which arrived Monday.

The pin that comes with the hastur2 is actually bored out bigger than I will go. It looked like a #49 where the biggest I will go in an m3 is #51 beyond that makes for a very weak screw. Be very careful when installing the center pin in the Hastur2; cross thread it once and it's done. Tighten it down just a little to hard, done.

Looks nice, works well, vapes nearly silent; beyond that it's really not special.... Most of the hype is just that hype, it is cool that we can get them readily now for 1/3 of retail.

The no logo versions have a Hellfire finish. I did one with an element finish but it seemed too polished.

Those look great! I'm glad you went with the Hellfire finish. I had a predator & loved the finish on it. Good atty just didn't do it for me with a single coil.

In other news......
The Hype clones just arrived.....
These look and feel exactly like the real thing. In comparing them side by side the only differences I see is the logo on the imposter is a different type of laser engraving and the stock 510 pin looks a bit cheesy. I will be replacing the 510 pins with a pin very similar to my stumpy pin so that solves one problem and I will probably be removing the logo on the bottom of the deck, I forsee zero issues with these.

The Nipple clones also arrived and they are beautiful but I don't own an authentic Nipple so I really can't compare them. These will be a challenge to bottom feed, I will be experimenting with a few concepts, these will probably NOT ship Monday. I don't want to rush something out the door that doesn't squonk right.

The Stillare4s arrived today also but they will be going on the back burner for now so I can devote my undivided attention to the hype and nips. The doc for the Stillare4s will be up once these are done.

That sounds great!!! Damn I should have left my order alone & not passed on Hype. Oh well I'll see what everybody thinks when they get them. Maybe you'll get some more. Like Tom said....I don't care much for the Hastur V2 either....Have much better attys and not enough mods. Hopefully when the Catfish DNA 200's are available I can fill that void I'm lacking in mods.

How are the Allen heads on the stews in the Hastur v2 as far as stripping when tightening is one quistion of mine, and leaking from the top cap. Thank you I like the Velocity deck for verticals works perfect one being high and one being low works good for parralell vertical because the screws are on the side not the top.
