Aww man I didn't know you were thinking about other materials for option 2! Yes! Wood, delrin or ultem! I know for one I am excited about the dna75 option because I really don't need 200w & I like the battery option more on the 75w as well as smaller size. One thing for certain is I cant wait to get a mod made by you because the attention to detail & build quality of these lbc's is amazing.Way too early for that but I will say the option 1would be a bit cheaper to make. Option 2 with SS plates top and bottom would be more expensive but it would lend itself to any number of materials: ultem, wood, Delrin, aluminum.
Really loving my LBC's! [emoji7] you have built an excellent mod Tom! [emoji106].
The green is my wife's and the other tow are mine. Just got home late last night and got the wife's up and running. I'm about to do the Anno and you can see what I plan on putting on it. That is until the goons get here.

Did you receive your NiFe 52 from Germany?
I see the two (2) Stumpy's. My NiFe 52 recommendation for them: dual 3mm, 9 or 10-wraps contact coils coming in between 0.15-0.17 Ω's, 450-460F, 44-48 watts depending on desired flavor & vapor.
I know this contrasts with Tom's recommendation but is my choice based on experience.
Gorgeous, James! Look forward to seeing those! Get well acquainted with them so you can help me with mine!Really loving my LBC's! [emoji7] you have built an excellent mod Tom! [emoji106].

Thanks, inswva! That looks awesome. Maybe the nicest atty/LBC combo I've seen yet.
So far I am really liking the self adjusting 510. As long as it holds up over time, I don't forsee any issues. What do you think of the new self adjusting 510?
did you load escribe software into your pc yet? Thanks, inswva!
Now I just have to figure out how to work this thing. My first 2 attempts with ss316l were a huge fail. Temperature protected kept popping up on the screen and when I could get it to fire it melted the coils. I gave up on the ss for now and switched to kanthal until I have more time to do some research. I am used to using mech mods so this dna 200 is pretty confusing. I probably should read the manual.

yes this the one must thing you have to do otherwise you will burn up the coils. i set my preheat at 65watts at 1 second and vape at 45 watts 500 temp setting. that is for 26gauge 316l dual coils at .26 ohm. the vape is thick and flavor packed. For ss use, you may want to go into Escribe and change the preheat watts. I think as it comes, it is set to 200w for 1 second. I put mine down to 100w and 0.5 seconds. IMHO, I don't think you need to preheat ss that much as it almost instantaneously fires anyway.
