Really loving my LBC's! [emoji7] you have built an excellent mod Tom! [emoji106].

The green is my wife's and the other tow are mine. Just got home late last night and got the wife's up and running. I'm about to do the Anno and you can see what I plan on putting on it. That is until the goons get here.

Way too early for that but I will say the option 1would be a bit cheaper to make. Option 2 with SS plates top and bottom would be more expensive but it would lend itself to any number of materials: ultem, wood, Delrin, aluminum.
Aww man I didn't know you were thinking about other materials for option 2! Yes! Wood, delrin or ultem! I know for one I am excited about the dna75 option because I really don't need 200w & I like the battery option more on the 75w as well as smaller size. One thing for certain is I cant wait to get a mod made by you because the attention to detail & build quality of these lbc's is amazing.

How's everyone liking the new 510s??

Like 'em!

Did you receive your NiFe 52 from Germany?

I see the two (2) Stumpy's. My NiFe 52 recommendation for them: dual 3mm, 9 or 10-wraps contact coils coming in between 0.15-0.17 Ω's, 450-460F, 44-48 watts depending on desired flavor & vapor.

I know this contrasts with Tom's recommendation but is my choice based on experience.

No, I'm using 28gX2/40g 316L SS.

That looks awesome. Maybe the nicest atty/LBC combo I've seen yet.
Thanks, inswva!

Now I just have to figure out how to work this thing. My first 2 attempts with ss316l were a huge fail. Temperature protected kept popping up on the screen and when I could get it to fire it melted the coils. I gave up on the ss for now and switched to kanthal until I have more time to do some research. I am used to using mech mods so this dna 200 is pretty confusing. I probably should read the manual.

I for one really wish that evolve would do an escribe version that was compatible with a Mac
I'm in the same boat you are. I have a Mac. I'm thinking of putting Windows on my computer so I can do escribe and also update my Hohm Wreckers.

I really havent had time to mess with temp control either but Im using SS316 without it. Just set up a profile with temp control turned off and you'll be good to go

For ss use, you may want to go into Escribe and change the preheat watts. I think as it comes, it is set to 200w for 1 second. I put mine down to 100w and 0.5 seconds. IMHO, I don't think you need to preheat ss that much as it almost instantaneously fires anyway.

Off the top of my head it was 00405 but that is only for my SX 350's.

For my DNA 200's I use the TFR at Steam Engine, listed as Nifethal 52 (Alloy 52)

Not to confuse, I have played with the TCR a bit in the past, raising it, and, used to have a saved Profile for both the TCR (linear) and TFR (curve) on my DNA 200's but no longer.

HTH

ETA: You do understand that eScribe offers two ways to input a value (1) for a number, TCR, and (2) for a curve, TFR. The manual will assist if you overlook the possibilities...or post here and I will guide you.

Easy enough to do with Parallels which is sold, cheaply, at an Apple Store.

I have Windows 10 on both a MBP and an Air. Works as native, no fuss, no muss.

yes this the one must thing you have to do otherwise you will burn up the coils. i set my preheat at 65watts at 1 second and vape at 45 watts 500 temp setting. that is for 26gauge 316l dual coils at .26 ohm. the vape is thick and flavor packed.
