*taking notes while using clearos and glancing at my untouched rda* :p

You will throw your clearos away really soon.

Yes. Paperclips work too. I used that for nano coils, but found that it couldn't keep up with my chain Vaping with the wicks through the coil.

With cotton around or under the coil, the throat hit was close to nothing, though you get lots of vapor.

Which is why IMO, the best setup would be a dual micro coil. Crazy throat hit and enough cloud to piss your friend off.

But please get yourself a driptip that has a heatsink or you'll melt your lips.

And if you are a daredevil, buy a 5 post RDA and go quad coil! Intel inside.

Haha! An IGO-W3 would piss many people off. Imagine a 4x3 nano coil. Can use as torchlight already. :D but the top cap is .... ugly though...

I just got some goodies from a fellow SGVaper. Managed to recoil mine with 28 gauge kanthal. Made a 1.4ohm single dragon coil on my IGO-W. vapes like a champ. Thick and flavorful vapor. Albeit a little hot because of the stock airhole. Currently looking for 1.6mm and 1.2mm cobalt drill bits to make 2 1.6mm airholes and also add post holes for easy rebuild.

Oh, and what do you mean by a drip tip with a heatsink? I made one awhile back using white corian. Doesn't transfer heat well, just a little warm even when my top cap is slightly heated up.

I enjoy clouds. No doubt. But I also want flavor. I've been running 28g .6 ohm standard coil on an Igo-L. The slightly smaller chamber of the L seems to have better flavor to me. And the regular coil is rocking.

My problem is with micro coils... I'll wrap them up, different diameters, torched/untorched wire, all coils touching. Beautifuly heating from the center out. Put a cotton wick in, juice it up and fire it. And without fail it will have vapor shooting off the center of the coil as if there is a hot spot and the flavor is off. Not sure what I'm doing wrong... Any ideas?

Best example of a driptip with a heatsink.

You probably know what a heat sink is, but in case you don't, the protruding part is the heat sink design. It dissipates heat. I am using this exact drip tip and I've never felt any heat on it. Not even warm.

Ah I see... I have that too. But I thought it was .... ugly so I went to make one instead. :D
Doesn't seem to be an issue though, I don't mind my tip being a little warmer than my lips. So long it doesn't burn me. :)

Sig, really envy you, lucky to have people helping you out and resourceful despite roadblocks on your road to vaping.

Haha, yes I'm very lucky I met the right people. Really grateful to the two SGVapers that helped me.

I'll be glad to help anyone out too! I understand the difficulty when we just start out, so I don't want others to end up giving up vaping because they have no idea where to head off from. If you need help, you can certainly look for me, by provided I'm less of a problem that you already have! :D

Don't worry about the diameter of your coil in the beginning. Just ensure that the wraps are touching or as close as possible. Microcoils are typically 1/16 +- a wee bit, but that is because the granddaddy super_X_drifter said so. It works best for him (and me too). However, you might have a different experience.

So just get whatever implement you can find to help you wrap the coil and then experiment with a smaller or bigger diameter to find your best setup. So even if your coil diameter doesn't fall within range of a microcoil, it may still suit you. Just remember not to call it a microcoil if it's not. Lots of folks get the wrong idea of what a microcoil should be.

A box of screwdrivers from your local value shop gives you a wide range of diameters to play with (It's a flat plastic box with about 6 or 8 screwdrivers in it). And yes, one of the screwdrivers in it falls in the microcoil range.

I am using the srewdrivers too, creating micro coil with cotton. I get around 1.2 ohm, vapour production is great!

On Agat2, i used awg28 3/4 coils and i get a 0.8ohm, vapour production also great!

I used the metal ear diggers to make my dragon coil. Works fantastic! :D

Guys try to get one of this. A alley key set. They have many size for you to choose (Mini coil, micro to nano) and It also provide a good grap when you doing your coil.
