They sell a ton of it. Maybe to make room for their China brand juice. Still no test results shown for them.

Time will tell which one has the poor business plan. I do agree that results for their juice should be listed as well for the sake of fairness.

They don't publish test results for any juice they carry as far as i can see, whether it's their own or others'. They published the results only for the two brands they removed :

In response to our previous Blog post about our liquid testing protocol, we've been asked for details of the e-liquids we've removed from sale due to positive tests for diketones.

I have a copy of the 5P results. Interesting that the pg/vg range is between 68/32 and 80/20 even though they state the juices are 50/50.

I think they have outlined the ones with bad results to explain why they have been removed (after giving nearly 2 months for makers to respond, others have accepted results and are reformulating). Their own range and all the others had OK results and so are still for sale. Vaporshark published results as they have decided to still sell all of their range, so figures are needed for an informed choice. If you trust Cloud 9 - no action needed. If you don't (and it matters to you) ask for specific lab results.

I have two questions. How long has Cloud 9 been selling Five Pawns? I bought from them almost a year ago and they had FIve Pawns listed.

Next:

We've been testing our products since 2011 at the same independant UK-based lab used by Trading Standards. We don't generally publish our results alongside the liquids, because we anonymise the samples for company confidentiality, and to ensure the lab aren't mislead by any other labelling elements on the samples we send.

Why wasn't Five Pawns tested by cloud 9 before they began selling it?

They have tested their products since 2011, I don't believe they have tested all products. I don't know how long they have been selling 5 pawns. I would imagine Cloud 9 are preparing for regulations which are coming very soon in the UK (May 2016). This is not required (yet) but I think it is good to have a company policy in place regarding this. The BBC did a spot check on eliquids a while ago and this is something definitely on the radar in the UK.

Their (ex) representative on Reddit stated about nine months ago during the SB situation that their results will be on the site by the end of that week. Today he posted on Reddit that :

I'm no longer affiliated with Five Pawns. I'm no longer able to comment on any matters regarding them.

I guess we just need to wait for 5p's response. I really hope that they answer some questions in a forum or podcast or something instead of making a facebook post ala Suicide Bunny.

Why wasn't Five Pawns tested by cloud 9 before they began selling it?

Isn't this a Question that should be Answered by Cloud9? And Cloud9 Alone?

I Can't say with Any Certainty that Cloud9 didn't test 5P e-Liquids when they began selling them. Or that they haven't tested Every Batch that 5P has sent them.

Or if this was the 1st Time Cloud9 has tested 5P e-Liquids.

I would Like a Lot More Info from BOTH Cloud9 as well as Five Pawns. Because I see all this turning More into Supposition than Understanding Exactly What is Going On.

From a post on 22-01-14
Information on Diacetyl, Diacetyl, Acetyl Propionyl or Acetoin in e liquids.

I actually wrote to 3 vendors Jen and here are the replies, but none specifically mentioning Acetoin:

Hi Nikki,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this. We use absolutely no Dicetyl or additives of any kind in our liquids. Thanks for the note!

Regards,

r.

People need a reality check! If anyone here thinks that vaping is benign, needs to readjust their thinking. Even sucking pure PG and nicotine into ones lungs is "BAD" for you. Standing on the corner of a busy street, all day, is bad for you. 10X worse than vaping diketone vape. Cigarettes, which most of us come from was and is so much worse, for us, that vaping is a limited risk, based on our prior history.

Very likely that vaping your last bottle of MM will not harm you. You smoked cigs for 20 years which had many times more diketones added to it than a bottle of eliquid. I didn't see anyone raising this point while you were participating in one of the worse health risks of the 20th century.

But man we're fast to destroy vape companies and their owners for something they probably weren't even aware of when they first came out. These companies and owners put a lot of time into their businesses and provided us with a lot of pleasure and great alternative. But man, how dare they put something in the vape that "MIGHT" be bad for us. Forget the fact that popcorn lung has never been connected to cigarettes, even though cigarettes were laced with 6X the amount that is put in our vapes.

Now we run along like the nicotine sheep the cigarette companies made by scare tactics from a few who seem to have some interest in this Diketone scare. hmmm maybe they are positioning their own product. hmmmm maybe by the cigarette companies that made us sheep in the first place. Slaves to their product laced with Diketone.

OK thats strictly conjecture but we need to keep alert to scare tactics based on no proof. There are only a few cases of this popcorn lung and only with popcorn or the powder that was used to make it and there was never definitive proof only civil liability and prudent rules regarding the handling of such.

With that said, one vapes what they want. If you want diketone free vapes, then all the power to you but let's knock of this reactionary behavior and support our e-liquid makers. Be careful or one day we might have only 1 or 2 e-liquid producers that follow very stringent rules(FDA) and make eliquid that sucks. Because I'll tell you something. I'll bet there is a lot more Diketone in many more vapes than you might think.

Except inhaling dyketones is worse than standing on a street corner and we have conclusive data to corroborate.
Some juices show dyketone levels higher than cigarettes and higher than found in the air in the factories that began the whole dyketone revelation. These companies know that their products contain high dyketone levels and are LYING to their customers!
STOP THE APOLOGETICS. This is unconscionable behavior!

Do not support "our e-juice makers" unless they are supporting US.

The wide open days of the vape juice industry is coming to an end. There is both good and bad in this. Bad in more expensive manufactured ejuice and less selection of manufacturers. In the short term anyway. If the demand is there competition will grow back up and the price will stabilize and drop again.
Good in safer ejuice.
It is the future and the future is now. Resistance is futile, assimilation is in progress.
hate it or love it it is beginning and will continue.
