my guess, very small assembly staff. handful of people. all cmt can afford? hope they assemble them with the usb port lined up. not like the pic they posted of the first unit.

I wouldn't doubt the small staff, but you would think if you're only going to assemble one unit to display, that you would make sure it looked good. Just a bizarre situation at best.

Cheers,
Steve

Damn shame because it was a great concept and the rendering was a pretty nice looking device.

A buddy of mine was unaware of smog going under, he pre-ordered from them and when I told him he tried to get a refund. That isn't happening but he used a credit card and is going to make a claim.

This is just an opinion but this whole thing borders on fraud, from the preorders to attempting to make delivery on a device that does not look like the rendering. People pre-ordered based on that drawing.

For all the folks that got caught up in this I am truly sorry. $200 is a lot of money to loose (for me anyway) and I hope you can get some type of restitution.

that very long positive 510 lead with the banana plug, think that'll cause issues with resistance readings/tc stability? i know the dna has a mod resistance offset feature, but im wondering if that'll still be a problem for tc vaping.

It shouldn't be an issue as long as it is not variable in resistance.

For me, there are too many issues with this enterprise now. The whole idea was that the thing is modular and can be chnged up with new chips and configurations as they appear. Problem is
there is no indication that they will ever be able to keep up with the pace of development. I mean what happened to the Ares project? Its hard to see that turning up in a real device any time soon.
Havr to say, the real thing doesnt look very good to my eye. Sort of looks a bit cheap somehow...

They messed up, If i remember correctly cmt launhed around july and promised early sept release... Its almost 2016 and i havent seen one final product in peoples hands

I think the delay resulted from shifting from usa manufacturing to a cheaper manufacturer in china, thats my guess

For me and I guess many others it was the modularity and ability to upgrade to newer chips as they came out that was the big selling point to this mod but seeing how it's ended up I have zero faith that would be the case.
That's why I cancelled my order. Thank goodness I ordered through them and not smog.

CMT was stating that the whiteouts would be shipped out from China on Monday 12/13. Guess what, they are still in China. They are saying that it has to clear customs because of the LIPO battery packs. So happy I was able to cancel my order. I feel for all the early supporters who ordered through smog.
